Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 01/12/2025@radiant.computer Can you tell me more about the hero image on your site? Was it created for the project or a reference to some existing work? 100
Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 06/11/2025Software invites fiddling—customizing, configuring, tweaking—but fiddling with LLMs is less like software and more like musical instruments. chsmc.org/2025/11/play...chsmc.orgPlaying the fiddle | Chase McCoyChase McCoy explores, builds, & writes about the web. 000
Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 13/10/2025Yep it was built by us, before I joined the company. It was really a very bare bones tool with a basic feature set (list your pens, edit, run, save) so I don’t imagine it was very costly. It ran on top of existing infrastructure for internal tools at Stripe. 110
Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 12/10/2025Yeah! Sailpen was just our internal version of codepen that had all of our components available for prototyping. Folks could write some code, preview it live, and share a link to others. Every example in our docs site could be opened there for quick remixing. 110
Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 11/10/2025I have started using a spare Mac mini as a private web server for hosting little apps and tools. Paired with Tailscale for access wherever I go, it's pretty great: chsmc.org/2025/10/serv...chsmc.orgBuilding a private & personal cloud computer | Chase McCoyChase McCoy explores, builds, & writes about the web. 130
Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 07/10/2025This year I started using a Mac mini as a private server for hosting my own software on the web. It's accessible anywhere in the world, but only to me. Chase McCoy @chsmc.me · 24/01/2025Why is there no good personal database software built into modern operating systems? Collecting and organizing information is relegated by most users to proprietary, online tools like Notion or Airtable. Where is the offline first, file-based solution for this sort of thing? 160
