Funny how language changes. Saw a post in a stationery subreddit. Someone bought a Paper Republic journal and posted I'm 'in the club'. In my day that was UK slang for pregnant! Is there any slang you don't hear used any more?

Anyone here hate having workmen in ?. A man's coming tomorrow to fit an energy smartmeter and I have cancelled at least 3 times -I really can't do it again, but I feel sick to my stomach- (no one is allowed in my house- personal indiosyncracy/undiagnosed issues). Will be stewing on this all night 😭

POV: me feeling like an IT expert because I managed to connect and set up my new Internet router. Typically though , the supposedy automated activation failed and I had to contact the ISP. Trying to get to speak to someone was harder than the actual steps to sort the issue.

Started my day seeing my daughter off to the University of the West of England in Bristol. I couldn't go with her as I have mobility issues, but her sweet boyfriend got on a train at silly o'clock to see her onto the coach, bless him. Seeing Insta posts of parents loaded cars. She had 2 cases..lol
