last update to the Ultraman inspired OC. just changed the colors of the chestplate and the sides of his stomach.. to try and better differentiate the chest and make it less complex what do yall think? does it stand out enough from an Ultra? (bc im only tryna take inspo from them

this won't be the base design for.. whatever species im gonna call it. different characters will look VASTLY different.. its not gonna stick to the same red or blue colors or whatever. but this specific design was based off an OC ive had for awhile

i would like thoughts on the overall design :] if it looks different enough, if it works at all. anything i could change. i think I tried going more for a gridman look.

Finished piece! I think the chest plate might be too complex :,) so i might go in and fix it later on. as you can see- i *inspired it* off of an Ultra but im trying to get it to be its own thing,, sorta looks more like Gridman to me?

theres a lot going on but it'll probably become more clear when i digitalize and complete it. things might change! please give your thoughts!

so i already posted what was SUPPOSED to be a final design. but i didnt like it after looking back at it so i went at it again! this is just a sketch for now.. but its way more mech inspired. actually now that i think about it, maybe Gridman? he's SUPPOSED to represent a dragon.

for any and all tokusatsu fans that happen to see this- what does Tokusatsu mean to you? Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai. anything. how has it influenced you, or something else you know?

i was debating whether i wanted to do "armor" or "color changes" or maybe both. his main weapon would be a paintbrush thingy so he could quite literally draw a power up or attack into existence whenever hes strong enough. (2/?)

Ultraman Chroid✨ @chroiduendo.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

oomfs if yall wanna help me brainstorm for him feel free i might do this form as a "multi-type form" and then have the crystals completely turn different colors when he activates another form/power. maybe different colors will have different effects? (1/?)

FINALLY DID IT!!! introducing my Ultra oc!! Ultraman Chroidnius (original I know) his main theme is ALSO imagination, but more focused on the art and creativity side of things. he has crystals similar to Ginga, but his crystals can show multiple colors at once. thoughts? :3c

I give you more Kamen Rider Zenarck cosplay stuff LOL nothing much going on in this video, just me trying to figure out how to use a sword in this armor, since it limits arm movements quite a bit

BUT THATS THE IDEA!! lmk what yall think!!

000

Ultraman Chroid✨ @chroiduendo.bsky.social · 19/10/2024

exact colors? im not sure. purple and red are gonna be a big part. im thinking a little gold too. i think i want him to have some form of shield on his chest, like Tiga, Ginga, or Taiga. i also want it to look like he's wearing a trench coat of some kind. bc those are cool (3/?)

100

Ultraman Chroid✨ @chroiduendo.bsky.social · 19/10/2024

his weapon would be a sword / brush / spray paint hybrid thing. each "paint"'would have a different effect. in order to change paints he'd need to change the canister. maybe he'd do his attacks drawing them into existence? as for power up forms.. not sure LMAO (2/?)

100

Ultraman Chroid✨ @chroiduendo.bsky.social · 19/10/2024

gonna redesign an Ultra OC sooner or later but heres an idea i had for powers- using the whole "imagination" thing, like Arc, but leaning WAY more into it. like most things i make, his schtick would be art. his head would have ginga / blazar esque parts in his head (1/?)
