Happy to make the 2nd round at Austin with my first adaptation effort -- an LGBT dramatic thriller about a self-medicating writer and a charming detective whose camping date turns dangerous when they encounter a legendary serial killer #scriptsky

Poster, with a pocketknife stuck in a tree, for IN A DARK WOOD, screenplay by Christopher Wright, based on the novella by Josh Lanyon.

This year, I've occasionally been errantly tagged in a tweet as if I'm the Energy Secretary, who shares my name. First time I've been tagged with these two though 😐

A screen grab from Twitter/X where someone confuses me for Energy Secretary Chris Wright and tags me in a post along with JD Vance and Elon Musk

Enjoyed Carmen Emmi's PLAINCLOTHES, shot in my hometown of Syracuse. A fantastic, meditative look at lonely, anxious late-90s closeted gay life -- I can relate -- with a late twist that gives the title new meaning plus an amazing ending. #filmsky #scriptsky (the script was a Nicholl Top 50!)

MACGUFFIN When crazed events from Alfred Hitchcock movies suddenly wreak havoc across present-day L.A., a closeted rookie cop enlists a standoffish film buff to help stop it before things go totally PSYCHO. HOT FUZZ x ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. #Fea #Th #Co #My #Su #LGBTQ #PG13 #screenpit

Many thanks to @coverfly.bsky.social and @screencraft.bsky.social for submitting one of my projects to, frankly, a dream production company for consideration! Wow. #scriptsky

I watched GOODFELLAS last night for the first time in years and am again amazed it didn't win Best Picture (and Lorraine Bracco was incredible but had the misfortune of being up against Whoopi that year)
