New newsletter is awesome

"He takes some inspiration from Woody from Toy Story. He was foreshadowed a bit in Chapter 3 with some bath curtains. I think that’s kind of the full extent of the intentional cowboy foreshadowing I’ve done in my life."

It's insane how something like Hyper Gigantes is supposed to sound larger than life, but it feels so much more normal and grounded than what Ando's got going on in mainline Kirby with his big-ass 9 minute long hyper-nuanced song with little repeating material

I really wonder what he's gonna do in the next mainline game, surely he's gotta find some way to de-escalate, it feels like recent Kirby music really leans into that god-killer reputation that the series has and I think something like VS. Star Dream already had that perfect blend of complexity while still being digestible

Happy 10th anniversary to Kirby: Planet Robobot 🥳; on top of being my favorite game I've ever played, this still has my most loved soundtrack in anything, and my candidate for the best song to ever exist (VS. Star Dream, shoutout Hirokazu Ando my goat)

Was scrolling through TVTropes for fun and wtf no way this is featured in the Chara Undertale section

Screenshot of the "Memes" section of Undertale on TVTropes; the subsection dedicated to Chara briefly talks about my existence

Toby having his Pocket Hussie (Pussie for short) ready to go is awesome

I got the chance to visit Spamton's shop, but he had to leave due to [ ] so I injected myself into his shop (By the way, the pipis in the image were actually Oreos dipped in candy melts, they were very tasty)

Decided to draw Jun Ishikara (Fusion of Kirby composer Jun Ishikawa and Chara) Happy 10th anniversary to Undertale 😃 #UNDERTALE10thAnniversary #Undertale #Kirby

I thought about actually drawing myself but then decided it'd be more fun to draw a portrait of Jun Ishikawa

My summary of Undertale, reading "We interface with games via many versions of love. Love can be cute. Love can be twisted. The way we express ourselves in a game's world both is & isn't at the world's expense."

An image of video game composer Jun Ishikawa, notably looking tired in this specific image

If you upload VGM onto YouTube, I'd like to suggest that you put the song title first, before the game title It's annoying, not being able to find a certain song quickly because the song titles aren't visible (Games with short titles like DeltaRune aren't affected too badly, but still)

A playlist of YouTube uploads of the music from DeltaRune: Chapter 2. Notably, the song titles are somewhat cutoff from a quick glance because of how the game title is formatted to appear before the song titles.

A playlist of YouTube uploads of the music from Super Mario Galaxy 2. These uploads suffer the same issue as the DeltaRune: Chapter 2 playlist.

A playlist of YouTube uploads of the music from Mario & Luigi: Brothership. This playlist suffers from the same issue as the previous two playlists.

I can't quite bring myself to completely ditch Twitter because (networking for one thing, but that's a different conversation) there are VGM composers chilling there like The Real Kazumi Totaka Himself and I think that's just neat, curious what you all think though
