If #ChristopherReeve was playing #Superman today and got this ripped there's no way he would have gone through the movie without taking his shirt off.

#DoctorWho fans: Am I the only one who ever wanted to edit the ending of The Pandorica Opens when showing it to a first time viewer so rather than following up the cataclysmic ending with the "To be continued" caption it says "The End" and try to convince them it's how the whole series ended?

I'm not really expecting a sequel to Masters of the Universe, but if we got one I can only hope that #Skeletor would take his final form as Skullator. #MOTU

I would love to get to draw a comic that let me just revisit all of my favorite characters from my formative comics reading years. That's why I have often cited a new version of #Batman the Brave and the Bold as a dream project. I suppose #SpiderMan Marvel Team-Up would be the Marvel equivalent?

Did Michael Landon's Jonathan Smith from Highway to Heaven ever run across Bill Bixby's David Banner from The Incredible Hulk with all the random hitchhiking they did?

Boy do I miss #SteveKornacki being on MSNBC/MSNOW. Informative data analysis delivered concisely and clearly. Likable and charming. I keep seeing clips on YouTube of Harry Anton on CNN trying to do a similar thing, but he's trying desperately hard to be funny and just isn't.

Reporters should start using "Epsteins" as a unit of measurement. Example: "Trump's war of choice in Iran has thus far cost us taxpayers $45.1 billion. To understand how much that is, that's over 1.1 million dollars for every time Trump's name is mentioned in the Epstein files."

Did I mention that I really loved doing these title splashes during my run on The #Batman Strikes? #BatmanDay

Title splashes like this we're always a lot of fun during my run on The #BatmanStrikes, especially when they included this many great #Batman villains! #BatmanDay

#Batman and #Robin in the pages of #YoungJustice. Sadly, this shot of Two-Face's layer is the closest I've come to getting your draw my *favorite* Batman villain in an actual comic story. Happy #BatmanDay

I loved doing storyboards for three seasons of the #HarleyQuinn animated series. It was always extra fun anytime #Batman showed up. Happy #BatmanDay

This cover for #YoungJustice felt like a little bit of a silver age throwback. While #Batman's not quite just harsh in the actual story, I love the balance that was struck between #Batman being stern but supportive as a mentor figure in both the comic and the show. Happy #BatmanDay

I grew up obsessed with the 1960s #Batman TV show, so I was over the moon to get to draw a story for the #Batman66 comic. I would dearly have loved to do more, but at least I got to draw both the Riddler and False Face. Hard to complain. Happy #BatmanDay

#Batman calls out #BlueBeetle and #BoosterGold for their antics in Justice League Unlimited #43, script by the great #KeithGiffen. Loved drawing this one. Happy #BatmanDay.

That #MrFreeze sequence was just too good. Here is a little more, #Batman fans. Happy #BatmanDay for all who celebrate.

It was an absolute joy being the regular artist on The #Batman Strikes, but it was always extra fun when certain villains turned up. #MrFreeze tended to be one of those. #BatmanDay

Can't wait for the fan reaction when in the final episode of season 1 of DC's #Lanterns the end credits finish with the message "John Stewart will return in Avengers Doomsday."

Happy #BatmanDay! These pages are from Justice League Unlimited #43 depicting Blue Beetle and Booster Gold's first meeting with the Justice League was written by Keith Giffen and features a running joke where #Batman keeps doing amazing things leading someone wide-eyed to comment "Wow, he's good!"

Happy birthday to my friend Tim Wick, seen here as Thing the Second in a sketch performed at CONvergence that was a James Bond/Dr Seuss mashup. I played the villainous Seuss who despised the rhyming couplets he was associated with.

Since #BatmanDay is in the air but isn't technically until Saturday I will share this image from #Svengoolie meets the DC Universe where the King of the Horror Hosts meets the Clown Prince of Crime (with a cameo appearance by #HarleyQuinn too).

In #StarTrek II, Khan wants Kirk to turn over all materials regarding Project Genesis. Why would he think that the Enterprise would be carrying more classified information on Project Genesis then the Reliant, the ship tasked to work directly with Genesis development and research?

170

Christopher Jones @christopherjonesart.com · 18/09/2026

I always thought an interesting detail in #StarTrek II The Wrath of Khan that tends to get overlooked is that the research for The Genesis Project was struggling to find a planet that *didn't* have some form of life on it.

You know that HBO #Lanterns #HalJordan is the kind of guy that doesn't think to recharge his phone until it's under 10%.

Christopher Jones @christopherjonesart.com · 17/09/2026

I think the biggest mystery of HBO's #Lanterns is how John Stewart keeps getting approved for car loans.

I really want #Whalefall to do well enough at the box office that some studio executive thinks it would be a good idea to make a sequel. "How can a guy get swallowed by a whale... Twice??"

Actor Peter Ferdinando did such a great job playing the Half-faced Man in the #DoctorWho episode #DeepBreath. When there's a close up of him thinking you can really see the gears turning.

040

Christopher Jones @christopherjonesart.com · 09/09/2026

It's fun watching episodes of #DoctorWho now and imagining the ridiculous idea that #Sutekh is invisibly clinging to the outside of the TARDIS. Rewatching the opening of Deep Breath and the TARDIS being spit out by the giant T-Rex is particularly funny.

Happy #StarTrek day! I was lucky enough to have had the chance to my small contribution to the legacy through IDW's Year Five comics, primarily with the Valentine's Day special written by Paul Cornell, colored by Charlie Kirchoff. The story gave me a chance to draw several different eras of Trek.

The thing that worries me about Donald Trump importing 300,000 pounds of meat from mysterious sources is the whole"every accusation is a confession" pattern. It reminds me of his baseless claim during the campaign about Haitian immigrants eating cats and dogs...

Is it wrong for me to be amused that the #Roku menu's current thumbnail for "Live TV" features a picture of Robert Stack who died in 2003?

I've long been a fan of the #Roku screensaver with all of its Hollywood Easter eggs. But they've made some temporary additions in honor of beloved performers we've lost recently and I really want to know who to thank for this. #DollyParton #TimCurry #PeterCullen RIP

I tend to watch a lot of YouTube for both news and entertainment, having it on in the background while I'm working. I just had the bizarre urge to hear @maddow.bsky.social and @mrballen.bsky.social trade content for a show.

Another #DoctorWho theory I was disappointed to have proven wrong was when we saw Maisie Williams regally dressed with a Lion Man, I thought she was going to be playing a regenerated Romana traveling with a Tharil from Romana's departure story "Warriors Gate."
