Goodbye, 1,580-day streak. And goodbye Duolingo. I’m not supporting a company that’s firing living, breathing employees to go full AI. (I should have known this was coming when they killed off the owl.) Anybody recommend a good language-learning program that has humans involved in its development?

Surprise science lesson! Apparently, the “emergency” water you put in storage after Hurricane Sandy can evaporate even if the containers are never opened, leaving you with nothing but empty plastic jugs and a gratefulness that you haven’t lost your water service again since then.
