So sah die erste "Waschmaschine" aus. Ihr Erfinder, Jacob Christian Schäffer, war ein ziemliches Allround-Talent: Theologe, sogar Superintendent, Extraordinarius, Botaniker, Mykologe, Entomologe, Ornithologe. Bemerkenswert fand er, dass es nun keine "Waschweiber" mehr brauche, um Wäsche zu waschen.

In Afrika wird er oft "Baum des Lebens" genannt und das global übliche "Baobab" stammt vom arabischen "bu-hubub“, was "samenhaltig" heißt. Diese Samen nutzt #Evonik und unterstützt damit das SDG8.
