The front offside wing of my car fills most of the frame. A cable is plugged into the normal AC charging socket and my kettle is plugged into a four way 13A socket on the other end. The car immediately notices there’s a load and starts supplying up to 3kW of power to the appliance.

My new powered recliner is already feeling like one of my best purchase decisions this year. Oh and the polar bear? His name is Claws. He’s fairly tame.
A neutral-coloured swivel chair is in the corner of a modern room. The colour palette of the walls and carpet is a similar stone shade relieved by orange curtains and orange top of a small table beside the chair. Behind these is a navy coloured bean bag. To the left of the chair is a four foot long toy polar bear in a crouch position with his forepaws each side of his head. On the opposite side of the chair there is a modern LED reading lamp. On the far wall behind stands a spray of dried grasses in a pot and in the corner stands the display of a weather station. Two China dolls grace the window ledge on the right.

The simulation runs the 2030 Blueprint mix against real-time weather and demand data over the last 28 days, showing how an expanded fleet of wind, solar, nuclear and storage would actually perform. Gas almost disappears; storage charges during sunny and windy periods and discharges at night; curtailment rises when renewables generate more than demand and storage can absorb.
