Finished the sweater I was making for my niece 🧶🥰 It’s made of brioche stitch, which is a cute name and makes a really fluffy and nice fabric, but it took forever for me to figure out 🙃 anyways, I’m pleased with the result and hope she likes it!

Decided to learn how to crochet 🧶 I made a…. thing? It’s not the best; the tension is wonky (too tight, mostly?) and I forgot to do an extra chain at the end of some rows, but it’s something!

One example of this was helping me switch careers from digital marketing to software engineering. When I told my managers I was interested, they encouraged me to take the leap, and also created the opportunity and safety to do so.

Logos (FKA Faithlife) has been a very “Christina” employer. It’s a place where I brought my whole self to work—and a couple of golden retriever puppies, once. It’s filled with mission-oriented, smart, kind, fun people. The kind of people who advocate & cheer for you, and are gracious when you fail.

Tomorrow is my last day at Logos Bible Software. It makes me feel old to say that it’s been over 8 years since I first walked through those doors, nervously prepping for a 3-month marketing internship that bloomed into a long, happy career.

Went to a friend’s craft night—painting on tote bags—and painted a pretzel postage stamp to represent a trip to Germany a few years back. Started craving pretzels, so then of course I had to make pretzels. My hobbies compound like this all the time and it’s the best 🎨🖌️🥨

I didn’t realize how big of a difference it would make to block your knit socks. Crazy!

Knit socks that have a white background, red cuffs and toes, and a red ladybug pattern. The one on the right, which has been blocked, is sock-shaped and the stitches look nice and even. The one on the left, which hasn’t been blocked, is slightly wonky shaped and looks sort of rippled due to varying stitch tension.

My tiniest cardigan yet, shipped out today. It’s 0-3 mo old size for a coworker whose wife is expecting in November. This is my 3rd baby sweater in the past 2 or 3 months. A friend described this as “knitting a sweater for every pregnant person who walks by” 😅
