Oh wow. I’ve actually been rewatching Metal Gear Scanlon (currently near the end of 3). This will be great to get to!

The only thing I remember from South Park is Piss Snowballs. Comedy!

Got my latest retro game mag from @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social and in it (GamePro May 2000) there’s a feature for the SongBoy, a GameBoy mp3 player add on. I don’t remember this at all. Did this ever come out?

The most confusing thing about Silent Hill Townfall is that a portable LCD TV is called CRTV. There are no cathode ray tubes in this thing.

I’ve always wanted to jump in to a Saga game, but never know which one I should try.

Sure, why not. I have others I’d swap in. Depends on my mood.

A grid of “9 games that made me.” They include Final Fantasy VI, Metal Gear Solid 3, Super Metroid, Day of the Tentacle, Final Fantasy VIII, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Mass Effect, Gone Home, & Fallout 3.

You really can’t tell it’s Tom Cruise.

I agree that Circle and Harmony are a bit blah, but Aria of Sorrow feels like a true, robust followup to Symphony. Order of Ecclesia in the DS collection is also a great twist on the formula. Feels a bit like Simon’s Quest and is actually challenging.

It might be time to play Policenauts aka Space Lethal Weapon with Nanomachines again.

The last few years I really got back into buying discs and cancelled most streaming services. Seems to be paying off!

I agree, but if they put in the effort, sometimes it’s nice to feel like you are really there and not on planet Earth in 2026.

Whenever I see the name of a country (on a feed, in the news, etc), I say it in my head as the Street Fighter II announcer.

I didn’t even know about this. Ordered! Also, I will be at the Uematsu concert, too. I don’t even know what is being played! Just seemed like such a rare thing. Have to go.

“This isn’t a game. This is real.”

2001 video game magazine ad featuring a grown man on a child’s race car ride like the kind you’d see outside a grocery store.

Can you tell me where Shrek Super Party is on the sales list ☺️

Yes, and the same publisher did Riven and the Journeyman Project. Included a flyer about the 3rd one and got it.

Yes, it’s crazy. That’s why we’re in this situation now, because of risky bets with total fantasy expectations like these!

Remember when people were worried Retro was going to turn Metroid into an action game w Metroid Prime?

Chris Tilton @christilton.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Back then, the revelation was how it felt to play. To just run around, jump in the water, all w an analog stick. Never played anything like that. That was revolutionary to me.

There was no guide I could ever find when I played it release day. So we had no choice but to power thru. A friend down the hall was also playing and we’d discuss l, so I guess that was kinda of a guide.
