Israelis have bulldozed a Catholic convent in Lebanon, latest of many anti-Christian attacks. An Independent Scotland can be a force for good in the world. By voting for idependence-supporting parties tomorrow you can show that you refuse to be complicit in the UK's support of Israel.

CFI attended the Logos Scotland conference in Edinburgh last week, to explain why we believe independence is necessary for a Scotland founded on Christian values. We showed our new presentation, A Christian Conversation about Scotland's Future, and had useful discussions with many people.

Scottish Episcopal Church has held Day of Prayer for people and churches of Middle East. SEC Primus was stopped from travelling to Jerusalem and West Bank for Holy Week. Sad to hear of death of Brian Quail, peace activist and independence campaigner. As a member of Pax Christi Scotland and Glasgow Catholic Worker, his desire for peace and justice was rooted in his Christian faith. His legacy will continue to inspire, especially at ecumenical Faslane peace vigils.

Scots will pay extra £12 a year levy on electricity bills to help to pay for Sizewell C nuclear power station in England. Scotland rejects dangerous radioactive nuclear power; we already pay highest electricity bills despite having more than enough renewable energy. Time to stop subsidising England!

A memorial event was held on 5th April on 40th anniversary of death of Willie McRae, Nationalist activist, lawyer, campaigner, under Special Branch surveillance, in Invergarry where he was found fatally shot. Suicide not credible, proper enquiry into his death is needed.
