Normally, our border collie mix, Cherry, is very camera shy. But every once in a while I sneak in a proper photo. 😎

Went to the forest today. Saw some trees. And a banana slug or two.

I've been sort of quietly awaiting a very particular day... and then it passed me! So, I've been journaling officially every day for 10 years now. Kind of a milestone for me, and it's been quite a journey.

It was quite a mixed week in terms of quality, but I'd do it all over again to experience Project Hail Mary for the first time. 🤩

Fear not, Project Hail Mary book fans. The movie is FANTASTIC.

The Apple Store in downtown Vancouver, Canada and captured with the iPhone 16 Pro (which I guess is appropriate).

Earlier this week, I got to visit the Año Nuevo State Park nature preserve in Pescadero. This preserve is known for its elephant seal population and it did not disappoint! Definitely a spot for fans of nature. #photography #elephantseals #mammals #sonya7rv #sony100400mm

Spending some time in nature was a healthy way to disconnect from all the nonsense of the world. Here’s a sneak peek of an elephant seal from a recent photo walk I did on a California beach. More to come!

A female elephant seal, recently emerged from the ocean, rests on the rocky shore.

It only took me 11 years, but I finally watched The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (extended, of course), and I'm annoyed I waited so long. It kind of surprised me how much I enjoyed it. It may not feel as epic as LOTR, but it's more Middle Earth adventure, I'm okay with that.

Time to do a thing! A photo a day for all of November... 30 days, 30 black and white photos with the Fuji X100VI. Why? Because sometimes you just gotta make the creativity happen. Here’s my first day! November 1, 2025: Cherry on a stair, staring.

First time charging my Mach E at a Tesla Supercharger! The nearby Electrify America stations were either out of order or in use with a wait, so I’m grateful to have this as an option. Finally getting to try out that NACS adapter and it’s working flawlessly.

Watched Dark City the other night (for the first time in 4K!) and holy smokes this is the version I've been waiting for since it was released on DVD forever ago. Looks and sounds just fantastic and it still holds up as one of my top 10 favorite films.
