yesss, one of the heaters has reached its target temp and turned off, and the battery is full, so it's now exporting to the grid and making me delicious pennies!
A chart showing the battery is full, 5.974 kW coming in from the solar panels, 3.144 kW going out to the grid, and 2.857 kW used by appliances.

Interesting collection of symbols on my Octopus energy statement. Do you think that £41.39 is going to me, or to Octopus? The line below is definitely in my favour - it's the amount for electricity exported from my solar panels.
Credit on your account. Reversed account charge: +£-41.39. Electricity: +£208.63.

After getting fed up with geogebra and polypad, I've finally taken the time to make myself a little thing for placing polygon tiles. It picks the closest edge to the point you've clicked on, and places a tile lined up with that edge. My idea (artist's […] [Original post on mathstodon.xyz]

I love to read a paper with a "come get me" plea for collaborators at the end: (this is arxiv.org/abs/2406.16402)
Hence, the wanted result will follows if we can prove the following result (a similar result have been proven for rhombus tilings in [1]):
Conjecture 1 If T ≠ T′ are two tilings of the same region, then there is a triangle in T that can be moved by a flip towards its elevation in T′, so that no triangle which has already at the same elevation in T and T′ is moved.

#BeachSpectres day 1 went really well. I heard that we might have completed 100 level-metatiles, which would be around 800-900 tiles stamped in the sand. The unusually gloomy weather didn't get us down. Same again tomorrow!

There's a very nice new sequence in the #OEIS: oeis.org/A387365 Such nice plots!
A triangular array of numbers. The bottom row is the counting numbers starting from 1. Each entry in the rows above that is the sum of the two entries below it. There is a joined "wave" curve starting from 1, going diagonally up and then down, first one step, then two steps, and so on - the waves get one step bigger each time.Pin plot and logarithmic scatterplot of the sequence. The pin plot looks like several increasingly tall pointy towers. The logarithmic scatterplot is a rising and widening oscillating curve.
