Amsterdam: Anecdotal but interesting: twice now younger people we have interacted with (waiter, ticket taker at Anne Frank museum) were both quite interested to know our opinion on Mayor Mamdani. He seems to be quite popular!

Traveling in Belgium & The Netherlands. I am always gobsmacked how well they do public transportation here. The inter-city (and intra-city) trains are plentiful, clean, and easy to navigate. Channeling my inner @louispeitzman.bsky.social Our goal of only using public transport is still on track.
