A report like this which features no mention of the impact of FASD is an incomplete report.

We need actual numbers. That heat map is far too woolly.

In Rowling's sick world (not the Hogworts one, the other one), the men who pretend 24/7 to be women are shaking their heads at this guy, because if only he'd put up with the levels of discrimination, hatred and alienation they do, he might just have got away with it.

I feel like if we all took the individual action of voting for a leader who would end fossil fuel reliance, we'd collectively achieve more than if we all individually lived 'sustainably', (however such a thing is effectively done at a micro level).

So the possibility of a new and fairer electoral system relies on the old, unfair system working first?

All this reminds me of when my microwave was going to end the world one second after 23:59:59 31/12/1999 and how it meant I should unplug it and buy a new one.

The tobacco industry must be looking at this now, saying to each other, 'Why didn't we just tell the truth in the first place? Our products are so great they will kill you quick. It's such great marketing?'

Their definition of Christian is based on being not-Muslim. And not-Jewish. Basically not foreign and not brown. And being able to call Christmas Christmas, which anyone, including Muslims and Jews, is allowed to do.

They're there to protest the idea that being English/British means something of value, something that might be incompatible with their insecure need to have people different from them being more scared of them, then they are of the people who are different.

The world is to blame as a whole. The way we structured our societies and let our systems use and exclude people. These parents were a victim of that as much of their children. Part of our systems is avoiding change by blaming the individuals for not resolving their intergenerational trauma.

Worse is when a new sock decides it can now only ever conform comfortably to a right foot for the rest of its life because that was the first foot it was worn on. Or left, if that's what its fate was.

Probably the most useful front page they've ever provided their readership. If only they'd left out the 'when in Britain' part.

Where do they think they're getting the energy from? The cost of this extra infrastructure could probably repair and improve the existing water infrastructure and build a few extra reservoirs so desalination wouldn't be needed.

As an actual government, they'd be so ineffective, I think all these threats would remain just that. Try as they might, I wouldn't expect them to get any of this sadistic shit actually done. Especially as I can't see them gaining a majority anyway.

I work a difficult, skilled, full time professional job. My disabilities mean I'll never realistically be able to progress in my career. My job pays well and I enjoy it, but I'm at my ceiling and it's hard work just holding it together. PIP simply helps take some of the edge off so I can carry on.

Perhaps if we take a pragmatic, gradual approach to transitioning away from fossil fuels, perhaps the climate will come to its senses and take a pragmatic, gradual approach to burning all our food and homes to the ground.

Yeah, we don't approve of AI on Bluesky because AI is obviously so right wing and probably uses X and won't buy an EV as their next car and they bought all the portable air conditioning units as well, bastards. This image did someone out of a job.

There is only one single possible answer. The people who make money from creating and worsening our climate crisis can easily buy our politicians.

It's like the movies where the supporting character shoots futile blanks at an invincible terminator, then reveals that they were just using up time to let the hero get back in position. Except after all this, where is Farage's personal superman waiting to crash into the imminent investigation?

The smart move here would be to resign as an MP and trigger a by-election in which he could let the people of Clacton make their judgment on... Oh wait, no... Shit.

Reading the 'news' is the problem. Smart and professional doesn't mean they have any critical thinking skills. In fact, in the process of becoming smart and professional, they've often had those skills trained out of them.

If Clacton deliver this, there needs to be a collective national tutting event so we can all come together in the constituency and express our deep disappointment in their lack of imagination in as loud and as effectively British manner as possible.
