That Chris Polansky got really mad (fair) and ended up doing such a good job at signing me up for spam email lists that I still get some to this day nearly two decades later, so he won in the end

When I was like 18 I kept getting emails for a Chris Polansky who was on the board of the Texas A&M anime club. The board members kept emailing me despite my repeatedly telling them they had the wrong email address for their Chris Polansky, so I emailed in a resignation and it caused a whole thing

What happened during Christa Pike's failed execution
Catherine Sweeney was in the witness room when Tennessee attempted to execute Christa Pike on Sept. 30. An attempted execution in May had also failed. Here's what Sweeney saw and heard.

It sounds wild but it tracks with the history! Bears were completely eradicated from CT in the 1800s and didn't start coming back until the 1980s.

My life as a reporter changed a lot moving from Oklahoma to Connecticut. The most profound change is probably not having to witness executions anymore. Utmost respect to the media witnesses in Tennessee who’ve watched multiple botched executions this year. It’s a hard but incredibly important job.

Tori Gessner, a journalist at WKRN who has witnessed several executions, said, "Nothing about today was normal, typical, at all."
Gessner said she heard Pike say, "My arm feels like it's about to burst open."
Just as media witnesses exited the prison, emergency vehicles pulled up outside the prison.
