I’ve just watched the final episode of Series 6 of A House Through Time and I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the current series has been the best of the lot. In fact, I’ll go even further and say that it’s one of the best factual TV series that I’ve ever seen. Outstanding stuff…

Back from a great family holiday on Crete, staying in Gouves, where my dad previously lived for 15 years. Trip included return visits to Heraklion, Knossos, Agios Nikolaus, and Spinalonga. Also caught up with some good family friends, including Spyros, who runs the best Cretan restaurant in Gouves!

Just caught up on the Ruth Madeley episode of Who Do You Think You Are? The first episode of this series I've properly enjoyed, and I have to say, I think it's one of the best episodes in years. Proper detective work, good use of DNA, a great story, and a very likeable celeb. Nice one! #genealogy

👍 Just had an email to say a correction I made on the IrishGenealogy website in March has been actioned. This is a new system; previously there wasn't a way for them to notify you, so you had to check manually if corrections had been accepted, with no timescale. Thumbs up from me! #IrishGenealogy
