Oh man, it's #PortfolioDay again? Dang, okay! I'm Chris, a multimedia designer, director, animator, and voice over artist. You may know me as the in-game announcer and events video producer for Rivals of Aether 2, but I've done work for Titmouse Inc, Metro Boomin, Johnny Cupcakes, and more. Enjoy!

On top of directing and leading the promo, I was also fortunate enough to design the look and layout of the critical-hit effect for this event too!

I'm trying this new cookie recipe: brown butter lemon cookies with blueberries and white chocolate chips. I'm baking these tomorrow and so I'm freezing them, but I did have enough left over for a taste test to see if it needed anything. Holy shit, they're delicious.

And I MEAN motion capture. Janky, yes, but it absolutely got the job done. See below, and apologies for the slightly messy background.

Well, I feel damn proud of all this. After a long but very good couple of weeks, I decided to reward myself and try making duck for the first time. Pan seared duck breast with an orange pan sauce, a side of herb-infused mashed potatoes, and garlic broccolini. DIVINE.

Also, supremely happy to have an excuse to get back into Animate again and make something frame by frame, especially in light of recent events.

I helped out with this trailer! For the bulk of the scenes we shot, I was Kragg and Clairen. That's actually me as Kragg going off into the sea at the end. We shot a bunch of dumb scenes and improv that were left on the cutting room floor, including this one. no idea why this didn't make it, tbh

The third was a Patrick Bateman fan-cam video— stupid amounts of excessive editing, time ramps and interpolation, the works. And that's what Dan and the studio ended up picking! Before we had a proper throughline, I did a bit of exploration. And by exploration, I mean made a fun, morbid shitpost.

being the editor and one of the peeps who records gameplay for these promo videos I have access to all the raw footage. which means I can make shitposts like these for fun. zap.

Another thing I'm sharing from the vault for #IndieAnimationDay— a couple of years ago I was developing a personal project around Run The Jewels's "Yankee and the Brave." Heavily influenced by Nick Gazin's art and Hiroyuki Imaishi's animation direction, I'd love to return to this one day. Early PV.

Fun fact: this was heavily featured in the 2023 Award Winning SXSW documentary "LOUDER THAN YOU THINK: A Lo-Fi History of Gary Young and Pavement." It's an amazingly heartfelt documentary that tells the story of Pavement's drummer, brought to life with puppets. Check it. vimeo.com/ondemand/lou...

SAMMON. Cooked up this nice salmon and got it paired with some English cucumbers and edamame for meal prep, topped with a mix of kewpie mayo and the spicy sauce from Gyu-Kaku. Had no clue they sold that in stores until just recently.
