About 3 hours after his election as leader……

And Britain entered the war because Hitler invaded Poland; London wasn’t bombed until 1940

No he doesn’t. There are a hundred other nuanced versions he could offer. Along with dissing people tipping off the police about terror plots he’s had a terrible 24 hours.

Not sure why you think that? The vast majority of our foodbank donations are from individual members of the public and come with no restrictions on use.

Compared to most right wing pundits on TV now he’s frankly moderate; at least he doesn’t spend all his time spewing hatred

The rapid hike in housing costs is the biggest change in the last 20 yrs that has eroded median incomes

Labour’s lost 100 seats would be widely spread among LDs, Greens, Ref, SNP and PC, some of whom would work with them subsequently

I’m not sure I’d fancy facing a moving cricket ball at 100kph at dusk in Reykjavik in July though

I think thats quite a lot further north than Reykjavik though

Mike Gatting’s record as a test captain is far worse than Vettori’s

Well in Government anyway

And the reason for that, compared to say the late 90s when nominal tax rates were higher is surely the explosion in housing costs and to a lesser degree fuel.

💜 Sometimes making a difference starts right where you live. At Brighter Futures Rhyl, people came together to create a place offering resources, activities and support for their community. For Shane Owen, being able to play his own part in that community means something too.🎥

Tapp’s condemnation refuses to name the demonstration for what it was, in line with Labour’s bizzare refusal to call out the far right.

The “British” bit while obviously wrong politically is also very wrong religiously; St David had been dead for almost 500 yrs by 1066

Would have been news to the Vikings who had been ransacking Christian places of worship for several hundreds of years all over the varied kingdoms of Great Britain and Ireland by then

🌿One year ago, Hubberston Green officially became community-owned – a landmark made possible by local people, partners and support from @tnlcommunityfund.org.uk. Since then, the Green has continued to grow as a space for nature, wellbeing and community. 💚

The biggest danger for students is not that they are seen as a line in the expenditure column but that they are seen as a line in the income column

Safest thing from my family’s experience is avoid their services. Dangerously incompetent and utterly dishonest when faced with the realities of their failings.

A couple of years ago I was on a train leaving Switzerland which split in the final station: the announcer said something on the lines of “ those of you going to Strasbourg stay in the front of the train and for those going to Germany good luck”.

As you hint the real waste was not from July 24 but the two years before that in designing well thought through tax reform policies; its not as though no think tank had given them any thought

This was the most egregious example I could think of; fortunately justice was served next time the teams met - in a World Cup Quarter Final. On the second occasion the same player scored the winning try in a manner beyond dispute.
