January 21, 2027 is the first full day on which Trump resigning or being impeached doesn’t cost Vance the potential for 2 terms under the 20A and 22A. If Vance began serving then, he could serve out Trump’s 2 years and then run for 8 more. I wonder who is watching the calendar.
