🍀A long October ahead... (International break was great! 🫠)

I'm convinced Scales brought the Celtic coaching staff to Ireland's training camp...

111

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

How Ireland survived that first-half... 🤷🏻‍♂️ Zero shots on target. 30% possession. 3 cleared off the line.

🇮🇪 V Kosovo - UEFA Nations (B). Forced football for a few weeks, its literally something to watch. Be good to see Ireland progress, but it's a TV trophy, emotionless with fans watching for potential club injuries. The farce 🇮🇪 V Israel 🚫 speaks volumes...

🍀 Celtic financial results: year ended 30 June 2026. Revenue decreased by 22.7% to £111m. Club made loss before tax of £6.6m (£45.7m 2025) and have year-end cash of £66.4m (£77.3m last year) Millions wasted - How is this sustainable?

🍀 5 June MON signs to 21 September - how did it get to this? "Michael Nicholson throws full support behind Martin O'Neill as Celtic chief apologises for Champions League etc."

000

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

🍀 Celtic doesn't have an identity. There is a glaring problem off the pitch that impacts on the pitch, and no matter who replaces MON, they inherit the boards ineptness. All had issues: O’Neill Rodgers Postecoglou Lennon Deila

Hope it's not a "until January" mope...

The stress is worrying. Health first, if it's a factor.

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Serious rumours it's Brown & Lennon and that MON has gone. IF true, there needs to be honesty about this entire situation. But there won't. Both Lennon & Brown on commentary today and both said players need to step up or out.

CalMac (x3), Scales, CCV, MON have all come out on the same hymn sheet describing their frustration. If MON walks Desmond & Nicholson are to blame; sold a pup. His parting shot should be to expose what's going on, that'll change Celtic dramatically. Celtic legends should weigh in behind him.

010

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Montrose are currently on the longest winning run out of all the SPFL teams this season. 7 wins, and currently in third place in League One. Stewart Petrie is doing some job..

It's who he brings & their 'vision'.

Couldn't deal with that. The other rumour last month was that hea was heading a consortium from the East to take over Celtic...

They're focused, Celtic aren't. Playing with no fans and stepping up shows they're hungry.

000

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 The rumour mills are unreal: Keane was in the stands today. Broony & Lennon coming back. Fozzy & SM fallen out with MON. I don't see MON going anywhere until January, but the three weeks will be spent securing Jan, if the board had sense. (They don't)

240

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 “I genuinely will reflect and see. It’s a matter of whether I can help the team”. MON says he will reflect on his future over the international break

133

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 The MON post-match interview is utter denial. "Not much between the teams" He shouldn't be afraid to sink the boot...

231

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 Abysmal. Nothing there to build on, change or tinker with. Individual players playing their own game with zero leadership. MONs direction can't take much more strain.

042

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 Taking Duran off weakens it even more...

110

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 Chances wasted, poor decisions, balls given away - like last week, never mind Europe. There's no confidence. The back passing has stopped, but nothing in its place. Celtic 1 shot on target with 5 corners. 🤬 Abysmal.

282

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Might go back on it... 😩

001

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 If I'm honest, McCowan is giving me the serious fear...

320

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

🍀 No other option than to go for it. No idea what the tactics may be, 3-5-2? Any passing backwards has to be a stopped. Fozzy, McManus, Maloney will have coached them, MON has to drive them. Anyone hiding has to be hooked.

021

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Hibs booed off at H/T. Two depleted teams in the pouring rain who look totally disinterested.

000

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

⚽ 📺 Hibs V Aberdeen Killie V Hearts Amazing how standards have dropped across these teams.

100

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

If he doesn't stop players playing it back, there'll be questions as to whose tactics are being deployed. Post game interviews could be lethal. CalMac can't blame anyone if he's not taking games by the neck.

ACSOM - 'On a knife edge' Re: MON. I dont agree with that. There has to be serious changes, but tipping point it's not. The 'edge' is based on three games, and there's lots more to go, BUT Sunday will tell a tale. www.youtube.com/live/cmc8wNz...

🍀 The team for Sunday can only be: Sinisalo Lotomba CCV Scales KT Ox McGregor Nygren Baur Duran Høgh The thought of using wingers would leave the midfield wide open. No Yang, no play. (Said in a Bob Marley tune)

321

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Sunday will tell the tale. The TNT interview showed hes under pressure.

010

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Is the deal collective management with SM & MON leaves when he's ready? Guessing game...

100

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

🍀 Interviews last night: MON - Seems he's not allowed to change tactics. (Mentioned numerous times) CalMac - Broken (Third interview like this) Scales - Change in narrative needed. There's something seriously off. Sunday is more than a league game..

230

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 MON interview: Back foot after the second goal. Psychologically damaging. Adjustments, never worked. Never cleared the front lost on attacks. Another European lesson. Need to reenergise. Need to take risks. Confidence an issue. Fans frustrated. 4-3-3 : Find another way. Need players ≠ gelled

210

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

CalMacs third interview this evening again explaining the team is "broken". If there's a fourth interview like this there will be huge questions on the run up to December.

111

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 Questions will be: Are MON & SM capable of a comeback? Is defense able to perform? Players better than last year? Why is the energy/high-press gone? Fresh ideas come from where? Building from back fails - Plan B is? List is getting longer...

220

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

7 games left to play in Europe. Fcuking hell..

100

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 Nothing to take from that game at all, except MON is currently pushing a rope up a hill. One massive game before a 3 week international break, in which tactics need solidified, heads need lifted, players need a boot up the hole. Same team tonight plays on Sunday, why not...🤷🏻‍♂️

231

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 This team is nowhere near European standard and any standards are dropping weekly. Confidence is zero.

111

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 Very poor first half. 3 mins. 3 corners and so predictable after that. Goals were avoidable, but not acceptable at home particularly on a Euro night. Backwards passing... 2-1 is a let off. Lazy, no focus. 🤬

111

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀 MON obviously frustrated on TNT pre-match interview...

000

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I think two wins on the bounce is achievable. The midfield needs to stay in shape. Johnstone to start is a must for me.

100

Chris @chrisderry.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

🍀Ferencvaros are coming in form tonight, it won't be easy. The European spectre always lingers, as does recent cup result. Midfield needs bolstered or build a team around Duran? Who's the 'keeper? 3-5-2? Don't envy MON decisions in next two fixtures.

Attended a mental wellbeing seminar today. Football. Football keeps many heads up, feel connected, feel involved & an opportunity to express themselves. No matter if that's online, in person or buying off DH Gate! Men - Keep the head up! Ask for support if need be: that's a strength.
