Blast from the past. Heady times on Queen West. There was a scene in those days. Events like these were an incubator for the years to come. I was part of the tulpa contingent. Like many of the other bands we were ambitious, talented and full of energy.

IN SOLITUDE This song was a Tulpa song we recorded at Grant Avenue studio in the late 80's. John's lyrics were inspired by life on the road during one of our short US and Canadian tours. Where you going with that guitar boy? youtu.be/9ZKdwK3NNrk?...

I wrote The Parkdale Blues back in the early 90's and it was recorded on my first cassette 'Tangles and Spoils'. Though the neighbourhood had a lot of charm, Parkdale also had hookers and junkies amidst the big city chaos. youtu.be/DSdm-YP2s5M

‘Cranked loud on a good stereo, ‘Somebody Help Me Now’ will hit you hard, right in the solar plexus. And if the down and dirty bass and guitar don’t get you, then Perry White's baritone sax, which enters the fray at the 2 1/2 minute mark, most certainly will.’ Canuckistan Music Review
