3 wins in 14. 7 times in the league we’ve conceded 3 goals. Very difficult not to feel frustrated watching this #Boro team. If it wasn’t for the daughter I’d struggle to muster the enthusiasm for anymore away games, she just loves the experience of following us on the road 🚗

One thing I forgot to point out is Tommy Conway. If he was fit I’d be much more comfortable with selling LL this month. MC said prior to Blackburn that Conway is “out for a number of weeks”. Coming into a massive run of games, we may have to throw someone new in immediately 😬

#Boro start 2025 with a 93rd min win 😮‍💨 > 1st half both teams were really poor > 2nd half we came out much better, just couldn’t put the ball in the net > Carrick nailed his subs, made them earlier & made a big call to take Azaz off when chasing the game > Hull terrible > LIMBS

Thoughts on the #Boro game: > Not at our best, but a win is win against a very good defensive team > Sol Brynn MOTM for me, it’s his shirt to lose now for me > Great to have Rav back in the team Had to win given how other results went, now need to win Plymouth 🟢

#Boro vs Millwall #PredictCarrick 🔮 > Think Fry comes back if recovered > McGree illness = Burgzorg starts > Should be a good game for Barlaser & Hackney as they won’t be pressed anything like they were midweek > Have a feeling Ayling comes back in > Coin toss between LL & TC

150

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 14/12/2024

Looking at #Boro’s opponents today - Millwall 🦁 > Joint 6th best defence in the league > 6th for xGA (so it’s not a fluke) > Joint 2nd best defence on the road > Beat Leeds & Burnley at home 1-0 > Not lost by more than a goal this season Could be a tough nut to crack 🥜🔨

140

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Yeah I’d have taken a point before that game, but coming away from Turf Moor there was a feeling that we could have had more.

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Any talk of auto promotion was ludicrous, it’s one thing to hope for it but to expect it was always setting up for disappointment. If the season started in October maybe, but the start of the season killed it. A play-off finish would be a good season. Keep the faith #UTB (2/2)

130

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

It’s very likely #Boro drop out the play-offs in the next 24 hours. But I don’t see any reason to panic. I thought we’d get 1 point from these two away games, 2 points max. So I can’t be annoyed with 1. This next block of games are far bigger, we need minimum 4 wins (1/2)

260

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

> Game management was awful. Like Chelsea away last season we persisted to play it out from the back when we’re against a team who were pressing us aggressively & forcing errors. > No subs until 81 mins No shame in losing at Leeds given their squad, but we need to learn (2/2)

150

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Thoughts on the #Boro game: > Poor for the first 20 mins > Not an outright clanger from Dieng, but he has to do better > We were the better team following the equaliser > Weakest areas of our team that are the difference between play-offs and autos brutally exposed - GK, RB, LB (1/2)

#Boro won 1-0 in my first away game, an FA Cup match vs Man City at Maine Road in 97. #Boro lost 1-0 in the daughter’s first away game, at Rotherham 2023 with Dijksteel sent off So it was fitting #Boro drew 1-1 in the boy’s first away game, with Dijksteel scoring the goal (3/3)

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 08/12/2024

Strangers came over to shake my hand for bringing them. One guy telling me how he loved it as “my dad would never take me to away games” People came across the concourse to give them high 5s ✋ A guy at the end even gave the boy his mini #Boro scarf🧣 The Boro family 🫶 (2/3

Football is more than just a game, it’s about creating memories and passing the torch to the next generation 🤝 Took the daughter as usual on Friday night, with the addition of the boy for his first #Boro away game, the love we received from fellow fans was heartwarming ❤️ (1/3)

It’s about time Dan Barlaser got some praise, was hearing negativity about him again in the lead up to the game yet he’s put in another excellent display. Assisted Dijksteel, put it on a plate for Edmundson. He should be staying in the team on Tuesday, give him his flowers 💐

Chris @chrisboroutb.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Thoughts on the game: > Great play between Barlaser & Dijksteel for the goal > Once we got the goal we sat off them and it was a matter of time before they scored > Dieng poor for the equaliser > Unlucky not to win it 2nd half, had 3-4 chances Very good away point for #Boro

Great evening with @chrisboroutb.bsky.social at The Riverside learning about Boro’s crest and contributing towards the new one. As a designer and #Boro fan it was a dream to feel a part of this process. Hosted by the amazing Gary Philipson with a great insight by @untypicalboro.bsky.social #UTB

I think it would be an easy win if they did.

For me personally, I’d like to see #Boro do what Man City did. Go back to a classic badge and modernise it. Return to the 1986 badge, change it to 1876 and throw some computer varnish on it.

Top evening being part of the @Boro club crest workshop hosted by Gary Philipson (of course) Great to have an exchange of ideas with fellow #Boro fans of all ages as to what the clubs’s new crest should look like. Some familiar faces too in @marutb.bsky.social @pburke1981.bsky.social

Though 160+ Priority Points may only be enough to get you single seats. I’d expect most (if not all) tickets to be sold at 170+ Priority Points. Sales will also likely start at 190+ These are just predictions, I don’t have any insider knowledge whatsoever 🙃 (2/2)

Yeah couldn’t get down to that one, was gutted. Yeah I’d certainly take Brentford away, went to the old ground twice but the one time we got drawn at the GTech was in lockdown 😞

Who are we all wanting in Monday’s FA Cup third round draw? 🏆 Personally, I want an away game at a stadium I’ve not seen #Boro play in. Tottenham Hotspur away (unoriginal I know). If not, Leyton Orient or Harrogate away.
