Took me a while to expose my second roll of #kikipan320. I was loading it into my Nikon FE when the film advance locked up. Off for repair it went. 3 months later, the camera is back. Here are a few from that same roll, developed in HC 110 1+47 for 10 min. at 20ºC. 105mm f2.5 Ai-S lens.

Another rainy day in Port Alice here on Vancouver Island.

October's #folderweek was a challenge, with mobility issues and lots of rain. I managed two outings with my Nettar 517/16, exposing just one roll of HP5+, dev in D23. On the Friday, I had an appointment in Victoria, so afterwards I went over to Fisherman's Wharf. #believeinfilm #filmphotography

A row of interesting floating homes of all different shapes and sizes that are moored along a wharf. At the left-hand end of the row is a gift shop. This area receives lots of visitors, particularly when the weather is pleasant. In the foreground is a small area of open water with ripples from a duck and the little splashes from raindrops.

This gnarled old tree in the forest has lost most of its bark. The branches are twisted and bent into interesting contortions, and the roots are exposed. The surrounding forest floor is covered in low plants that are covered in leaves.

I bought a combined laser rangefinder and exposure meter. It is an L.D. Meter from CHI. Here it is on my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16. The meter works well, but the red laser dot can be hard to see, especially in bright light. It may be out of place on a 70 approx. year-old camera. #folderweek

A rope with triangular flags attached loops down from a walkway above, and a couple of trees frame the scene on the left and right. The location is Market Square in Victoria, British Columbia.

The name of the business is Vintage Iron. Either side of the doorway is a couple of windows, one displaying an open sign. This is an old building with stone walls. A seed head from a plant that I cannot identify against a distinctly out-of-focus background. Part of the seed head is also out of focus and a little blurred. For me, these apparent faults add to, rather than detract from, the appeal of the photograph.

The Olympus AF-1. Tough, weather resistant, and has an excellent 35mm f2.8 lens. I am not usually an auto everything fan, but this camera delivers the results. Downsides - it needs DX coded film or the camera defaults to ISO100 (I think), no override on the flash. It does have an exposure lock.

Visited Jack Point and Biggs Park near Nanaimo last Friday along with @drakedyck.bsky.social. It was a warm and largely cloudless day, so the light was very harsh. These photographs were taken with my Fuji X-Pro2. I also exposed a few 6 x 6 frames on Fomapan 100 film.

Sun-bleached tree roots on a rocky shore by the Salish Sea.

A sandstone rock face is split by a curving crevice that runs top to bottom in the photograph. At the top of the crevice is an alpine plant covered in white flowers.

An interesting feature that is quite common in this area of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Sandstone is weathered into interesting natural sculptures, often including honeycomb-like patterns.
