Chris Becke (aka BeckePhysics) @chrisbecke.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Another pre-dawn capture with the Dwarf Mini. Today’s target was Bode’s Nebula and Bode’s Galaxy (M81). 12 million light years away. That’s some old photons. First pic full FOV, and next cropped and rotated. Any Mini owners know how to get the pair into view without requiring an astro mosaic? 030
Chris Becke (aka BeckePhysics) @chrisbecke.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Woke up early, so went out with the Dwarf Mini to get an hour on The Pleiades. After 10 years of trying astrophotography with much more complicated equipment, this is by far my best Pleiades picture ever. So easy! Standard, star reduction, and “remove stars” EQ mode, 60s exposures, gain 100. 1326

Chris Becke (aka BeckePhysics) @chrisbecke.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I had a string of Christmas lights that wouldn’t light. These were the classic ones where a single bad bulb causes the whole string to not light. So I tried one bulb at a time, testing each to see if it would light. Finally, I determined which bulb was busted through a process of illumination. 😉 351
