Yesterday I lost 4 species from my life list, today I added another to my 'dip list' 🤦‍♂️ not all was lost, good to have all the Shetland crew back together and 6x year ticks added! #UKBirding

Nothing new around #LadywalkNR this morning but not too bad a visit on a windy day! Highlights included a partial eclipse Mandarin, a very distant Harrier almost certainly Marsh, Red Kite, 6x Oycs & 3x LRP. Unusual to see someone camped on one of the River Tame islands! #UKBirding

A few people have commented about the lack of recent otter updates at #ladywalk_nr This is due to the Trail camera and some associated equipment being stolen from the reserve. This also raises the problem that I’m reluctant to place another camera in the same spot.

Well, I may have missed the Woodchat Shrike due to a planned weekend away at Heythrope Park in the Cotswolds but nice to find this unexpected cracker in the hotel grounds.

It was a beautiful sunny and very quiet morning around Sutton Park, only real highlight was a single Chiffchaff around the Crab apple trees, I've seen more species around my garden in a morning, and that's bad!

A wet & miserable morning around #LadywalkNR suddenly brightened up when a flock of c20 Russian White-fronted Geese dropped in with the Greylags, I assume this will be a record count for the reserve! Also this morning, a Swan Goose from who knows where, 2x Egyptian Geese, 2x Mandarin, 2x Water Rail.
