I am done with this shit. It is over. The state of engineering right now is horrible. It has been half a month since I started a new role at a big company.
Nobody knows anything here. The specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets, resolution of those tickets, reports, etc., everything is made by Claude Code.
Nobody on my team likes this. They are being forced to ship as much as they can. I have heard multiple times from higher management that pushing code is not a bottleneck, so why are we slow?

This event will be starting in about 10 minutes. It’s a 4 day relay race of speedruns through the Final Fantasy series - an event that is very near and dear to my heart. I sincerely hope you’ll come visit and enjoy the show.

in light of today's "The Big Game", it is my pleasure to report that avgn's football rant is highly compatible with laura palmer's theme

I've been working on puzzle design on Order of the Sinking Star at Thekla for the past 2 and a half years, and I'm excited the game has just been announced!! It's a special game, made by a lot of talented people, and I hope everyone enjoys it when it comes out!

No group of people with more to say and less to prove, IMO. Couldn't be me! I have no real desire to play Damon and Baby right now but I super fw ArcSys's vision of scaling back development size to nurture young talent and make games more sustainably instead of chasing growthxN. That's compelling.

Well this twitch vod stuff is pretty obnoxious but it was an interesting nostalgia trip going back through and trimming out my vods (rip all my old obsolete runs, anything still "current" I'll put somewhere else...)

Not that I'm much of an active poster anywhere nowadays, but finally got around to setting up an account here
