I've gotten several characters to at least mid-high platinum just doing this and it helps me a ton to break it down like that first instead of overloading my brain with too many setups and whatnot before I'm even fully comfortable with the character

Whenever I try to learn a new character I start by figuring out some good neutral pokes, which special moves I can do without being killed for it, and then one or two combos that I can cancel into super, and then as I play and get more comfortable using those I find new things to add.

I bought the 1 awhile back and enjoyed it but thought some parts felt kinda bad (triggers and bumpers) but I've been exclusively using the Ultimate 2 for a couple weeks now and they've fixed basically every issue I had with it.

I made it through despite the rust but these bosses since Dawntrail have been fairly tricky. I welcome the increased challenge though lol

I think that monster health in general could use a buff in MH Wilds so that hunts take a little longer but I think especially Frenzied monsters need some adjustment. I get they're supposed to be more aggro with less health but I never get to see that extra aggression before they're already dead.

I had to farm this dude like 6 times for the armor and by the end of it I had 16 tails that I didn't know what to with lol

You can also get like a billion items from the DLC packs you can download for free along with the event quests if you don't want to ever have to grind for potions or money

So I will say that some of those side quests (particularly Lucca's) have some good character stuff in them and also they don't take very long. You could knock all of them out probably in a couple hours or so

Yeah I just tried it out and I'm really not feeling it. It's kind of fun just to run around with other people but at least in my run loot and upgrades didn't feel as impactful as I want from a roguelike and I'm worried the map is gonna get old real fast if there aren't more maps in the full thing

Beat Master Ninja difficulty for the first time in Ninja Gaiden Black. Not as bad as I was expecting honestly. The hardest part is just getting to the first save point and other than that it mostly just felt like I was playing Very Hard mode again outside of a couple fights

This is sick. It makes me want to finally play through Zelda II lol

Chozo Trigger @chozotrigger.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

I tried to give it a fair shot but couldn't get into either the manga or anime. What I read of the manga had like no time to focus on any of the characters but the start of the anime was very slow and felt really aimless. However, I did actually like the movie and thought it was like a nice epilogue

I haven't picked up the remake yet because I'm waiting for the physical version to come out but I recently replayed the original in the meantime and I'm very happy to see that they kept the charm of the original animations intact lol

Been on a bit of a Ninja Gaiden kick since the Ninja Gaiden 4 announcement and decided to go back and finally beat this like I always wanted to. Actually not too bad until that last stage. The final boss can go to hell lol I'll have to check out 2 & 3 NES soon too since I've never played them before

Chozo Trigger @chozotrigger.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

I'm excited to get into that one at some point too. I picked it up but don't want to start it yet until I either finish Granblue Relink or Cold Steel 2 so I don't have too many RPGs going at once lol

Chozo Trigger @chozotrigger.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

How are you liking 2 Black so far? I've been replaying the original since I'm not sure if I want to drop the $50 just yet on it and am kind of iffy on some of the changes from Sigma 2.
