iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Another day riding to work on my rusty, trusty ol’ commuter bike! So glad for fall weather FINALLY. 🍂

My ‘09 Subaru Forester is getting a little long in the tooth and my kiddo just got their learner’s permit. Thinking about handing it down and getting a Nissan Leaf. Never done the EV thing, but if I can get 17+ years out of it like I did the Forester I’d be pleased as punch! 🤔

The art direction in Vagrant Story is *so* good.

Finally tried plugging my SuperStation One into my CRT TV— wow! It’s crazy how responsive shmups are on this thing when you don’t have TV lag 🤩🎮

Yesterday I tried out the Nintendo 64 core on my SuperStation One and I’m already looking forward to giving the turbo core a spin to revisit some staples this weekend! I friggin’ love mister FPGA for making all these retro games accessible and fun to play again 🥰🎮

I’ve been enjoying playing “Vagrant Story” on my SuperStation One. It’s fun to revisit the PS1 catalog and try out games I never got to play back in the day. The art direction in this game is stellar and I kinda like “menu and box puzzle simulator 2000” 😅 Can see why this game is a classic!

I keep dinking around in Sage, but every time I get to play Slippy in CC it just makes my heart smile. I can’t wait to bring it to #fabtcg Calling 100 in Atlanta and our LGS’s Pro Quest. I just love reacts and disruption so dang much! 🥹👹🗡️

I continue to playtest Dorinthea, QSP in #fabtcg SAGE. Think I'm getting the knack of it a bit! Was playing a fun mirror. My turn, I was on 1 HP. Edict and Shine hit the field. I swing once. No blocks. A blue Shunt hits the tower. But... uwu, what's this? It's "Take the Lead" coming in clutch 🤩🤺

#fabtcg Skirmish yesterday on Dash! Performed predictably awfully in the local fatigue meta. But! @mxzippi.bsky.social won the marvel Dorinthea, Quicksilver Prodigy for the spot prize. So anyway looks like we’re building that for SAGE. Seems like a fun excuse to crack open some MPW! 🤺

So, like— I never played Sega Saturn games as a kid (other than the Nights demo unit at the store). But, since the SuperStation One supports Saturn, I’ve been exploring the back catalog! There’s a lot of gems out there! The shmup collection is nuts 🤩 Can’t wait to get my hands on this SSone 🥹

@dirksen2la.bsky.social waited in line to get this marvel Huntsman signed by @ijur.bsky.social at Worlds in Philadelphia. Huntsman was the first hero I connected with and learned deeply! Though I only play them occasionally these days (lfg Slippy!), this is my @fabtcg.com pride and joy. 👹 #fabcw

Shienryu Explosion on the PS2 was easy 1CC #13 this morning 💪🕹️ That game is surprisingly fun, surprised I hadn’t heard of it before perusing the beginner shmup list! Big thanks to Aktane on the Shmup Junkies discord for helping me figure out some weird input lag playing it from my sd2psx card 🥰

Ordered a few art inserts for my Mayflash F500 joystick. On one hand, Exy from DoDonPachi DOJ was a bit difficult to chase down art for and will probably look really good on holographic paper. On the other, Slippy from #fabtcg would go hard. 👹
