The mistake is thinking they think it was a mistake.

WR obviously not where the QB thought he was supposed to be, but even if he ran the right route, it was a terrible throw.

I looked up “bolognese candle” and got something about dog farts. This lane is open for any entrepreneurial types.

Someone should make this into one of those ambient fireplace type video things that pop up on streaming during the holidays.

Once you hear it, you can’t unhear how many pre-2010ish pop songs there are about how she was only sixteen.

TNG is the best entry point, IMO. Rich storytelling, re-introduces all the Star Trek archetypes, and you can enjoy without knowing all the franchise lore.

Whoever did this only thought about where to put Trump, Biden, Obama, Carter, and Clinton. The rest is the same as the original chart from 1948, where I think your point still applies.

He threw the wrong route. Receiver (correctly) sat down in the soft spot and Sanders didn't see it and threw the post.

She spent months on the ground campaigning in rural areas and lost most of them to Crowley.

Voters and candidates refusing to vote and campaign strategically is what really sucks. At some point you have to stop trying to bail these dipshits out of their dipshittery.

Limiting the scope of my comment to sheriff was quite intentional. The way I'd look at it is if the challenger to the more visible face of defending puppy torture (I don't think this, but I'm assuming worst intent for the sake of argument) only got 20%, that won't influence a DA primary in 2 years.

Without looking at precinct numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if Pocan's numbers in Dane were even better than that. I suppose you'd know better than I about crossover voters in a local vs. congressional race. None of these results made me think anything except voters do stuff and don't like cops.

Chop Blockington @chopblockington.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
Is 20% blowback, or just ordinary anti-incumbency? I bet any primary opponent for county sheriff with any sane platform gets around 20%.

Ugh, c'mon. I'm not trying to screw with you, here. I genuinely want to know what it means for you for a candidate to moderate. I think a lot of people on here read the moderation thing as "sorry, gotta do diet bigotry if'n you wanna win," and I don't think you mean it that way. What do you mean?

I don’t live in Michigan, but if I did, I’d have zero problem taking the L in the primary and both working for and voting for AES in the general. Locally for me, I didn’t vote for Fran Hong in the primary, but I’ll work my butt off for her in the general if she wins.

Ok, I’d have voted for Stevens, but reading his platform, abdulforsenate.com, where isn’t he close to being a median Democrat? I think it’s just healthcare, and I’m open to pretty radical change there. A lot of his supporters and associations really suck, though. 👎 the Piker pool party shit.

I have been personally annoyed and paranoid about the presence of speed cameras while driving in unfamiliar places, but it's easy to adapt to them because they make most drivers around you stop driving like lunatics.
080
Chop Blockington @chopblockington.bsky.social · 06/08/2026
“Ope, gotta drive the speed limit and take stops seriously” would be a much easier adaptation than people think. Everyone already makes their own over complicated risk-based driving rules based on a balance of the law vs. social pressure to break it.

WI Republicans will happily and shamelessly spend the next 3 months pretend litigating the merits of Thanksgiving, and maybe it won't work, but it absolutely could work. Chalk it up to "life ain't fair."

This is also Murc's Law shit. Republicans don't think this way. They don't even know that median is different than mean.
070
Chop Blockington @chopblockington.bsky.social · 23/07/2026
I wondered that, too, I don't know. If not, would Republicans would have let themselves lose the vote because she was in Alabama, or flown her ass back to DC to vote? Were Murkowski or Paul un-gettable in a pinch? IDK about that. Fetterman sucks and should not have let them avoid the pinch, though.
010
Chop Blockington @chopblockington.bsky.social · 23/07/2026
Yeah Fetterman is a turd who should stop making it easier for Republicans, to say the least, but do you really think Britt stays on the bench at 48-48? I don't.
