🎬 Beckenham Odeon Statement We are working our MP Liam Conlon on the closure of the Odeon. There has been a huge outpouring of support for keeping a cinema in Beckenham. We’re meeting Citygate Church shortly and will also be holding a public meeting, open to all. More details soon.

Some good news… the road closure on Beckenham High Street by the War Memorial will be removed in the next 24 hours. 👏 Further works are needed to complete the sewer repairs, we will keep you updated.

Bromley Highways have advised us that Thames Water has extended its permit to keep the road closed for a further week, until Friday 2 October 2026. Work to install the temporary over-pumping system is still ongoing, so unfortunately the road will not reopen as previously hoped.

Attended the Beckenham Police Public Meeting last night. Good to hear updates from the Police, Fire Brigade and Trading Standards on recent operations, and to listen to questions from residents. These meetings are well worth attending, hope more local people come next time.

🚧 Roadworks 🚧 parts of Copers Cope Road will be closed from Tuesday 26/05 for up to nine weeks for gas main replacement. The road will be initially closed at the junction of Worsley Bridge Road, with the road closure moving along towards Grangewood Lane as the works progress.

Great turnout at our street stall on Beckenham High St today. Heard a wide range of views on crime, safety, and local policing. Most of the people we spoke to felt just as safe or more safe than they did 5 years ago.
