Watching The Doomsday Machine, from Star Trek: The Original Series. Such a good episode. I especially like the way Decker plays with a couple of data disks, which is so reminiscent of Humphrey Bogart from The Caine Mutiny.

I am an openly gay man, and I’ve been with my husband for 38 years. If I’m talking to a stranger, and they say “Yeah, you’ll need to check with you wife.” Depending on my mood and the situation I will either correct them, or just ignore the statement. If you don’t know, just say “spouse.”

I’ve had an amazing time at MegaPlex this week. I’ve met so many new friends, and reconnected with old friends A lot of pain points were corrected or improved (the registration process was improved IMMENSELY!) and the main pool was open for all the otter wanna-bes! I hope to see everyone next year

@electricentertainment.com I’ve already stated here on BlueSky that I thought Dean Devlin would be a great choice to produce Doctor Who. He’s done a lot of sci-fi movies and TV shows. (Stargate (movie), Independence Day (movie), The Librarian(s), Leverage and much more).

I just found out that one of my favorite composers, Seiji Ozawa, passed away two years ago. I first saw him conducting an orchestra in Oakland, CA around 1970, so it was probably the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. I have a CD of his of Four Seasons, and it remains my favorite to this day.

I’ve been using AirLearn in my efforts to learn German. What I don’t like is that they use AI generated images, and apparently no one bothers to check them. In teaching me using deodorant, the image is a guy in a bathroom spraying the can DOWN from above the shoulders while WEARING A T-SHIRT!
