The only thing that could make the Schmitt story better is if Fani Willis also wasn't in Atlanta on Feb. 3, 2024.

I get that it was a left-on-left matchup, but it's still horrible pitching to give Yaz anything to hit with Kim on deck.

Not only is the concept of impartiality or fairness wholly absent from the First Amendment, but the Framers wouldn't have understood what the hell you were talking about if you suggested the press should be unbiased.

So I guess the college rule on the QB arm coming forward is the same as all of us always thought it was and not the NFL "don't let this call help the Saints" rule. Because the Navy QB was at least as far along in his passing intent as Goff was.

It was a mistake to create the Office of DNI, and it's silly after almost a quarter-century to pretend it serves any purpose, other than providing proof that creating an additional level of bureaucracy does not enhance communication or efficiency.

Leaving London, I’ve a final reflection on the absurdity of Ilan Wurman as a colleague in the legal academy. We need not take his historical work seriously again, or at least, uncritically. These few days working in the archives and engaging with him have revealed much to me in a very clear way…

So, in addition to his actual duties as president, Trump is, in part, running Venezuela, leading the Gaza Board of Peace, heading the Kennedy Center board, building a ballroom, and fulfilling his duties as FIFA Peace Prize holder. No wonder he's sleepy.

Rico Dowdle is the Panthers' best offensive weapon right now. The Falcons are weaker against the run than the pass. Why complicate things and bootleg Young instead of just giving the ball to Dowdle?

This is equivalent to saying, "Sure, he murdered dozens of people, but he didn't choose his victims in advance or carefully plan each killing. Just, every once in a while, he felt the urge and killed somebody at random. So, sure, it's not good, but it's not as bad a real first-degree murderer."

Nominations open for annual 20 Under 20
Each January, we feature students from metro public schools, private schools and colleges who have given back to their community in a significant way. Over the last nearly two decades, we’ve featured students who have created their own nonprofits, have given up summer vacation to work domestically and abroad to help the less fortunate and one even helped build a library by collecting books. The 17th annual 20 Under 20 will appear in our January 2026 issue and we are now seeking nominations of students ages 19 and younger who have committed themselves to service to the community.
