Hahah honestly I need to do this next year

Congratulations to the team responsible for Astro Bot! Every developer deserves all the love. #finalfantasy7rebirth was my game of the year by a landslide. Though I admit that I do feel compelled to check out Metaphor now.

I love how there have been recurring themes of treat developers and players with respect at the #gameawards. I legitimately cried when they brought up Amir Satvat for the game changer award.

Watching this final trailer for the game awards and I’m a little taken aback by an ancient quote being written in my birth year 💀 #gameawards

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy but isn’t a selfie. Not sure who the artist is. But I definitely saved that for the Saint. If anyone knows the artist please tag them!

Describe your in-person social skills with one image. As a professional yapper I can fake extroverted behaviors for about 40 hours a week.

Oh man I didn’t expect to enjoy WoW classic as much I have been. It’s nostalgically infuriating without all the quality of life changes. I love it. I’m glad to play the class I wanted and not the class that’s needed too.

Streamers! What is the best streaming setup these days? I know that SLOBS was the bad platform for a while. And I know there was that solution that was like everything in one UI for events, redeems, etc (can I remember the name of it? no) What to you all use these days?

Good morning everyone! I wanted to start off today with some gratitude. Today I am grateful that me and @scruffyman.bsky.social have a game to play together again. It’s nice to revisit WoW classic. Something we never got to enjoy together. I’m also so grateful for the extra time with Ginger.

As our oldest dog is getting just a little more tired I am finding I have to get a little more creative on how we make memories and spend time together. A couple nights ago I got a suggestion to read her a book. So we are officially starting the Harry Potter series together. 1/?

I’m about 20 hours into this game and so far am really enjoying it! It would be fun for a new enjoyer of the mana series but there’s some really good callouts to the old games for those of us that played them.

I somehow am just learning about this now and need to put it somewhere safe!! Has anyone checked this out??

If you haven’t played the Like a Dragon games you definitely should. Anyone who enjoys a turn based RPG will enjoy this game. It’s serious but doesn’t take itself seriously. You aren’t playing as children and the classes and skills will just make you laugh. Mini games galore that also make you laugh

I hate shipping wars but Zack and Aerith are just cute together. I find that the Cloud and Aerith relationship comes across as “I can fix him” which has never worked out in my past experience. I love seeing her with someone that supports her and inspires her to go outside of her comfort zone.

I started this drawing a year and a half ago based on my favorite family portrait of ours. I really should finish it…. I definitely stopped because I’ve never felt great about the art I do these days. But then I also struggle with practicing. So it’s a never ending cycle 😅

Doggy spotlight!! This is Ginger. Her birthday is July 22 2015. She is a pure bred St. Bernard but has never broken 100lbs! We affectionately call her our teacup Saint Bernard. She unfortunately has end stage liver disease so we are doing our best to keep her comfy as long as possible.

Call me crazy but this seems like it would be a terrible gaming experience? I guess maybe if I was just signing on to gather or chat. But I can’t imagine fighting anything on mobile 😰

Today’s daily dose of gratitude. Today Ginger had more energy and glimpses of her normal self. We saw her play and scrub her face in our thighs. The behaviors of a happy Ginger. I loved seeing that side of her again. Please share one thing that you are grateful for today! It truly helps.

Dog photo time!! From lower left to right we have Maya, Annie, then Ginger. Maya is our 8 year old ruler, Annie our 2 year old goober, then Ginger our 9 year old queen. Our dogs are a big part of my life and identity for sure. The Saint Bernards are more “my dogs” while our corgi is more hubbys

Eeek over 50 followers already! Huge thanks to @ariishere.bsky.social for adding me to her starter pack! Hi all! Wanted to introduce myself. Sometimes I stream but I mostly just like meeting like minded people who like JRPGs. Some faves of mine are FF Breath of fire Persona Like a Dragon And more

So I know this topic is a little taboo but retro games are just super hard to stream. If I wanted to maybe look into options that would allow me to play games that I physically own, but an easier to stream format 😉😉 what software would y'all recommend that won't be a virus pit for my new computer?

So I’m going to start what I’m calling my video game shame list. These are games that I’ve purchased, and have not had a chance to start 🙈 this is your sign to tell me why I should start a game next! I purchased both of these games within the past year. Rented both when I was a kid! But that’s it

000

I pretty much just got here. But if anyone is making starter packs some that I would be a good fit for are: Dog Photos JRPGs Final Fantasy Retro Gaming Cozy Gaming So, if you're creating a starter pack and need some newer BlueSky folks to fill in the gaps, keep me in mind!
