Maybe the fact that it’s becoming more common and normalised is the reason I feel the need to push back here, drones and AI are more common now and powerful now. Nation states can do more. Drone incursions on sensitive sites has been increasing over the past few years.

Again social contagion implies to me that nothing is there, if you think something is there but it’s just not interesting (especially compared to aliens) that’s fine and valid, I can see your point. It’s a much more subjective point, I think. Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t deal in absolutes here.

I personally do find drone scare abnormal and interesting, particularly if they have some motive involving the multi polar world we find ourselves in. Also this level of drone activity is not normal. Drones yes, this many, no. Otherwise there probably wouldn’t be briefings. Bases wouldn’t report it.

I agree with the sentiment, but if true I think they would both be part of the same issue if I’m honest. sowing doubt in liberal democracies with misinformation. It feels like people don’t even want to be informed these days, whatever the side or narrative. It’s either Aliens or nothing.

The chinese balloon was spotted over Japan and talked about as a UFO before we knew what it was- I don’t put it beneath someone like Russia to cause UFO scare via drones, intentionally or not. That’s not ‘normal’, although I have no evidence it is possible explanation.

Nah, I don’t believe it’s aliens, I mean sure it’s possible but no rational reason to think that at this point. There’s been surges of drones over many countries since ukraine war. It’s probably a nation state if I had to guess but that’s an uneducated guess.
