More than 70% of ALL students in Mississippi and West Virginia would lose CEP in their schools under this proposal.

Increasing the identified student percentage (ISP) threshold from 25% to 60% would take CEP away from at least 21,000 schools serving 11.4 million students. An additional 18,000+ non-CEP schools (with 9.4 million students) would lose the ability to sign up for the program.

Since I throw shade when the government posts years-old education data, have to give props to NCES for getting the 2023-24 CCD posted in 2024:

Some states had stable *relative* performance (nearly all declined in absolute terms) since 2019, but some saw significant swings.

Since 2015, my colleagues and I have calculated NAEP scores that adjust for student demographics, including gender, age, race or ethnicity, receipt of free/reduced lunch, special education status, and English language learner status. This is the first look at adjusted performance post-COVID.

We find that directly funding new positions to meet the class size caps would cost 50% more in the lowest-need schools than in the highest-need schools. Because class sizes are already smaller in the highest-need schools, a policy imposing equality reduces equity.

I've only ever done one shot at the time, but have been successful at greatly reducing arm soreness with the exercise in the image below (without weights). I do 3 sets of 10 arms lifts immediately after getting the shot, then try to do a few more sets throughout the day.
Diagram of an arm lift exercise, where arms are at side in first picture and arms are straight out (like a bird) in the second picture.

Higher-income households hold a larger share of student debt than ever before, according to new data released today by the Federal Reserve: www.federalreserve.gov/econres/scfi...
The figure "shows the distribution of student debt across usual income quintiles since 2004. In each survey year, student debt has been consistently concentrated among higher-income families, with more than half of the debt belonging to the top 40 percent of the usual income distribution and the bottom quintile never holding more than 14 percent. Further, beginning in 2016, the share of student debt has monotonically increased with income within each survey year, with student debt becoming increasingly skewed toward the top of the distribution over time."
