Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 15/02/2025The cost of a 5 year skilled worker visa is about £11,500. Oh, and we pay taxes too. 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 09/12/2024Claude Haiku seems as good as ChatGPT 4o for brainstorming and writing. Haven't compared code generation capabilities yet. #databs 010

Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 07/12/2024I am on the Claude free tier, and I can only use Haiku since the past week. Is this how they are convincing people to upgrade?😂 #databs 100
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 06/12/2024This roast is a clear indication that I talk about Excel way too much. Delightful website though! blueskyroast.com/roast/chinar...blueskyroast.com 100

Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 04/12/2024Thanks Kshitij! I've been to this one and DET London before, and was wondering if there's anything else too :) If you are coming to the next DE London meetup, it would be great to meet 000

Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 30/11/2024I love how I can directly use CSVs and Pandas dataframes together without the hassle of converting both to a single format. Also, it works really fast for most use cases. 030

Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 27/11/2024This is me when I see another Business Development Representative sending me a connection request. I have nothing against BDRs, but if the first message I get is a sales pitch, that's not cool😅 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 23/11/2024That's the first data "analyst" in the team. I was hired as a data analyst, but I've been doing that + the data engineering stuff. 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 22/11/2024On a side note, is there a feed for #Python devs? 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 19/11/2024It is nice indeed! Few rough corners, but I'm sure the team will take care of it 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024That's not a problem at all! I just hope I understood you correctly because Google Translate doesn't understand the nuances of a language at times :) And more importantly, I don't want people to think I am an Excel fan😂 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024This looks nice! Are you working on any particularly interesting projects at the moment? 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024Btw, I love the design of your blog. What stack and theme are you using? 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024I'm still in the early chapters of the book! That makes sense, thank you :) 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024I'm thinking what would be a sensible way to partition data apart from datetime? Datetime partition would mean every external request queries a lot more than it needs to 120
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024Just took the first step with muting certain political words. I will update this thread with a list if it works out. 000
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024How do I get rid of politics from my feed? I can't be the only one here who does not want to see the left vs right arguments. 100
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024How do you recommend getting started on the Pathless Path journey? I do realise the irony of completely missing the point by asking this question lol 100

Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024Only because people continue to use it. I do not like using Excel, but that is irrelevant when I am forced to work with it. 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024I had to use Google Translate to understand this, and I can 100% relate to why you are unhappy. I hope the below clarification helps. Both of us are on the same side! bsky.app/profile/chin... 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024Excel is still the king of BI because it is not going away no matter how hard data people try to streamline things. I have automated out a number of Excel workflows using better tools in all of my orgs so far, but it is only a drop in the ocean compared to how many of them are out there. 010
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024Just to be perfectly clear, I do NOT like how prominent Excel is for BI and for sharing BI results within organisations. I find it very messy, debugging is harder than it needs to be, and do not get me started on dataset versioning. 110
Chinar Amrutkar @chinaramrutkar.com · 18/11/2024As much as I hate to say this, Excel is king 👑 #databs 📊 4100
