when I look at how certain people talk. there's this unhealthy need to self-flagellate to PROVE a lack of seriousness, and I find it sad the world looks down so hard on curiosity that anyone having fun in too "interesting" of a way thinks they can only be taken seriously if they put themself down

I got so tired of trying to overcompensate for percieved pompousness so I stopped! and def come off overconfident! and I'd rather that than let that type of person control me.

there's a prominent type that writes narratives into everything they don't immediately understand--- usually "you Must be doing this to get a one up on someone else" as they think too much in power structures to get why you'd be weird. I don't like doing anything to satiate that type.

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

and no one needs to read me correctly. that's a reading comprehension problem. if im compromising who I am to become easier to "understand why someone would want to do this" then I feel like I'm lying but i guess what im randomly venting about is like:

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

people DO misread me v hard when im expressing most authentically. and this is a given: im a huge edgelord and it makes it look like i have complexes about need to be tough that I dont I like being confused but people think crazy number songs are trying to be "impressive" bc they cant get this etc

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

"dont ever trust someone who brags about how humble they are" is obvious advice in hindsight that pretty much summaries why I want to maim everyone that makes a big deal about how any1 who likes weird art must have social-status-related ulterior motives. by design u admit u care how ur seen too much

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

im not getting rid of uru alida or riven i dont care if that sounds redundant to u so now you get 10

oh wait I would actually maybe have pokemon sapphire though somewhere.

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

since we grew up together ours is pretty similar but I would probably not list any of the Nintendo games, have Alida instead of Rhem(i thinj alida is like more influential on my media taste than riven itself in some ways) and fill the gaps with Uru, Lode Runner: The Legend Returns & G-Darius

if I decide I dont like chimerat I will change back or to somethint else but it feels better so far it makes the "chimera" part louder while also hav8ng a different animal now fused with it...which...well the word itself is a "chimera too"

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

it was always intentionally ambiguous, ambiguity in itself & difficulty to pronounce is representative of what I'm about. just how positive i feel about 'ratio' has tanked & tio has always been a problem element perhaps I should do like Neotokyo and Scrap I/O youtu.be/NcTJNCYIINM

and tio connotates some super wrong stuff also but what if it was just chimerat hmm.... i do like rats. and that fits with teh whole escaped lab experiment recurring themes *thinking about this* my tastes are also less mathematical nowadays and more just "chaos animal" so like yeah rat>ratio hmm

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

considering changing away from chimeratio as a name only reason i was sticking as it is to stay consistent in databases but no one even uses most of the ones that are stubborn about consistency anyways I like the chimera part but ratio came to mean "annoying on internet"

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

this and jangler's trackers and furnace all came out too late. like theyre what I was whining about not existing every other day 10 years ago but then I found my own nonsense workflow I got happy with but im glad stuff this cool is coming to exist

QUARTS is contrastingly really pretty. it is a nice expansion of what's a much shorter thing in the game but I love everything about how this unfolds & the inspiring instrumentation...and everything.

was sent in panic at a peak bad moment. mostly it's broadly scary/uncertain however, following from anyone near pittsburgh is still very needed: -anyone who can drive -ability to get a phone -contacts in area for backup -temp safer spots to stay -knowledge of spots to run with free computer access

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

my friend is currently trapped in a violent situation in pittsburgh and has lost access to phone & may be stuck with $0 & lack of access to communication due to abuse if you are in the area or know anyone who is. message me.

STAFFcirc vol. 13 - Frog Mechanics STAFFcirc celebrates FM synthesis. bc: sexytoadsandfrogsfriendcircle.bandcamp.com/album/staffc... sc: soundcloud.com/sexytoadsand... yt: youtu.be/Sf3h2wojzPc

Album art for STAFFcirc vol. 13 - Frog Mechanics depicting a 3D rendered scene with two cartoonish frogs wearing overalls and hard hats. In the centre of the scene, a huge reflective sphere floats between two oversized sound chips. Also floating in the air are some gears, a wrench, and a screwdriver. A green and white checkerboard stretches off into the pitch black distance.

if I saw like..... pilotredsun videos in 2001 I would have probably described them as "anime inspired"

020

Chimerat_▒ II @chimeratio.bsky.social · 16/03/2026

because of the precise exposure I had as a kid I had come to the conclusion that "anime" meant animated things where there were some elements in an uncannily smooth framerate contrasted with elements in an uncannily slow frame rate and this was the defining factor

Takashi Yoshida is another very good secret motoaki takenoichi which is funny because his wildest songs are literally the single digit number he did for castlevania but youtu.be/iH3af8mOX98
