Born this day, 1926: Tenor saxophonist John Coltrane in Hamlet NC. A member of Miles' bands 1955-1957 and 1958-1960, becoming one of the most influential musicians of all time. Their 1960 appearance in Paris is legendary and still controversial. #jazz #jazzsky #milesdavis #miles100 #coltrane100

Somehow, this release escaped to my attention this summer. It’s maybe the best thing KISS has ever released.
