This trend is getting out of hand... Sushi Susan (c) Me Done with alcohol markers and white acrylic marker (for the hair). #oc #originalcharacter #manga #anime #comic #webcomic #webtoon #sushi #yonkoma #4koma #chilichapters

Panel 1: Susan looks forward towards the viewer with her hands together and a smile on her face. "Welcome to the final episode of 'real or cake'! The item we will be guessing today is ..."

Panel 2: Susan gleefully holds up a sharp knife. "~Me!~"

Panel 3: Susan begins slicing into her face (not gory), and has her tongue out as she smiles and hums.

Panel 4: She now holds a section of her face on a plate. You can see the inside of her face which is made of rice. "Real! Did you get it right?"

Introducing Mako: Astral Angler! Mako is your average high schooler. Except for the fact that she's held back a year. And she's an orphan. And she can steal ... souls? Don't worry, just for sport! She gives them right back. Others are not so kind however, and wish to steal souls for shady uses ...

There are Pinup monsters everywhere, for those with eyes to see...

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

But yah to the 5 people who actually care, there will be a shift on my page going forward. I'm hoping this new story will further increase my skills as an artist and storyteller, and when I'm ready to come back to Pinup Monster, I think it will be better for it.

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

This "new" story is actually one I devised back in 2023 as part of a class assignment. It came to me in a dream. You can dig through my media tab to find it, but it has changed a lot since then! In the coming weeks I will post artwork I have been making for it, & likely changing my banner and pfp.

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

So all this really means is that Pinup Monster is no longer my main focus right now, the new story is. This doesn't mean I won't be working on Pinup Monster AT ALL or drawing the characters, but at this moment they are not my main priority.

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Luckily, I have reduced my hours! And in order to combat burnout and reignite my passion, I have decided to work on a different story, set in a different universe! I will share more about this project soon, since I've been working on it a lot but not posting anything. Drawings below unrelated.

Another thing was the Susan oneshot. It took a LOT of work out of me to submit that for a competition, only to blow up in my face. I didn't talk about it cuz I hate drama, but the judges gave me very useless feedback. It somewhat shattered my confidence & made it hard to pick up the pen again.

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Along with that, I have become a slave to the 40 hour work week. Every ounce of my passions has been SUCC'd out of me. I found myself becoming resentful at working on Pinup Monster stuff, big OR small. But I love these characters and this story, so the last thing I wanted was to get burnt out.

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

To those on my socials, Pinup Monster is nothing more than a one-shot & a collection of images, with the occasional lore byte. But behind the scenes I have been working hard to get the writing tight! Characterization, themes, making fights interesting, etc. Not very interesting for socials!

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Figured I'd announce this on a random Sunday for anyone who cares: I'm taking a break from Pinup Monster. I know you're thinking "how can you take a break when it isn't even out yet? I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" I will explain, dear followers, and attach some doodles just to make this more interesting.

Do you think the earth equivalent to Frog's Breath from Nightmare Before Christmas is like, Nyquil or something

⚓ChiliChapters⚓ @chilichapters.bsky.social · 17/03/2026

Do you think my art style leans more towards manga? Or western comics? Please be honest, I'm trying to see something 🤔 #oc #originalcharacter #manga #mangaka #anime #comic #webcomic #webtoon #anthro #succubus #demongirl #chilichapters
