On World Suicide Prevention Day, a gathering with integrated youth services reminded me that suicide prevention is also about the conditions surrounding care. We made medicine pouches, shared stories, and slowed down. Caring for youth also means caring for the people who support them. #AcademkcSky

Visited Musqueam before heading north 🪶 After years away, returning to the land and community reminded me that wellbeing, healing, and learning are inseparable from place. Some remembered me from before, even commenting on my hair 😆 Relationships and history live in the land as much as in people.

After the Lapu-Lapu tragedy in Vancouver, I sat in circle with teachers, sharing art-based, trauma-informed practices. I worked with the resource teacher as the school remained a crime scene. Through cultural care, the community reclaimed the space and graduation became joyful. #AcademicSky
