Julie Ege’s costume toward the end of The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974) is possibly the most indecent (complimentary) tank top in all of cinema. 🥵

BTW it's that bad episode with Kira's mom and Gul Dukat. I am so glad I am not podcasting about this episode specifically.

Merriam Webster out here fighting for its life

Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•18h
'Goodbye' is an alteration of "God be with you."

Sean Kress• @SKress7514 • 16h
Do you have evidence to back this up? If so can you explain what "good night" , "good
morning" and "good evening" are alterations of?

Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•15h
what

Sean Kress & @SKress7514 • 14h
I was genuinely asking the question because the only thing I find on the internet is that it is basically a slur from the original.... I assumed there was a better explanation for it than that as it seems a little unlikely given the good night, good morning etc haven't been slurred into something else too. Sorry if you saw that as offensive.

Merriam-Webster @ @Merriam...•14h S
It is not related to 'good night/ day/morning.'
The 'good' in those do not come from 'God.'

Sean Kress @ @SKress7514 • 14h
So the internet suggestion this it is just a slur is what you are basing that on too then?

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Merriam-Webster's etymology follows established linguistic scholarship, not unverified internet suggestions of a "slur."
"Goodbye" is an alteration of "God be with you"; "good" in greetings like "good morning" has separate origins unrelated to "God."

Everyone should watch the Sharpe movies, bc they rule, but also because baby Daniel Craig is in Sharpe's Eagle (1993). Other known actors pop up too!

I read Patrick Stewart’s memoir “Making It So” when it came out 3 years ago and am still laughing that when he met Sting for the first time he misunderstood and thought he was in a policeman’s band. 😂

Absolutely adoring Farscape, which is a first time watch. The aliens are weird AF, it's horny, there are puppets done by The Jim Henson Company, and it's made me feel things. I mean look at this mfer. What more could one ask for?
