OEMC would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of PCOI Natalia Rodriguez. Natalia was a close colleague and friend to many. Her passing is a terrible loss to her family and to OEMC. Her dedication to public safety and the City of Chicago will not be forgotten.

This morning at 0746 hours OEMC honored the lives lost on September 11, 2026 in an All-Call over the radio. May they rest in peace knowing their country will never forget.

With multiple events happening downtown this weekend, there is expected to be an increase in traffic. If necessary, street closures and diversions will take place in the Central Business District to control traffic flow. Make sure you allow extra time if traveling in the area.

A Disaster Loan Relief Center is now open at the Pullman Library to help those impacted by the storms on July 27, 2026. Customer service representatives will be there to answer questions and help you complete an application. Walk-ins are accepted.

The FAA has issued a UAS TFR for the airspace within a 5-nautical-mile radius of the Chicago Air and Water Show from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. now through Sunday. Unauthorized drones or unmanned aircraft systems are prohibited from flying within the TFR without an approved waiver.
