This, bluntly, is BS. No creator EVER who is not working for an ESTABLISHED FRANCHISE ought to sign a Work for Hire. Next: illustrators who are commissioned for cover or interior art for a story sell rights FOR THAT PUBLICATION and retain ALL OTHER RIGHTS going forward. The author has no 'say'.

Anthopic Copyright Settlement: Authors in general also have access to the Bulk Update function, it is an e-mail, directed by the claim number on the title line. I found this out through the help line.

People have NO idea how much the entertainment industry brings in to balance our foreign trade deficit. Books, movies, games. music - everything - puts the entertainment industry high on the list. Never yet met the government official willing to listen. Creative imagination is not frivolous!

Note: cleaning up duplicates/errors in the Anthropic claims settlement: the page is Extremely fussy as to what order you do corrections, it will FREEZE. Also, HEADS UP: one publisher filed its claim and added MY AGENT and also THEIR EDITOR, who no longer works there! WTF. Not rights holders!

The Guardian (sequel to Verrain's story, The Gallant) is now moved on to FINAL TOUCH UP polish - the finish of the language. Next stop from here is proof reading.

Well, SURPRISE! Apparently, I way overshot the 'official Hugo rules' length for a novella by - 20,500 words. THE GUARDIAN IS A NOVEL. Felt like it, too, the ground it covers is astonishing. Now clocking 60,500 words, before final cut and polish. Holy heck, Verrain!

Yeah, pretty much. Like, I think I've bought... one digital game? (I don't count DLC, mind) and that was FFVIII remaster. Everything else is physical because well, I like having media. My stack of games unplayed is kind of insane, tbh. (across multiple systems, etc)

I am sitting firmly on 'Yeah, they do hold to this, and I am *done* with Sony. No physical games? Yeah, I won't buy anything else from them and I will end as I began.. a solid Nintendo buyer. My local place's games section already is dominated by Nintendo( smaller Sony section and the Xbox is a joke

NASA Astronomy Hourly Picture - 2021-11-15: Light Pillar over Volcanic Etna #Astronomy #NASA #Space

What happening above that volcano? Something very unusual -- a volcanic light pillar. More typically, light pillars are caused by sunlight and so appear as a bright column that extends upward above a rising or setting Sun. Alternatively, other light pillars -- some quite colorful -- have been recorded above street and house lights. This light pillar, though, was illuminated by the red light emitted by the glowing magma of an erupting volcano. The volcano is Italy's Mount Etna, and the featured image was captured with a single shot a few hours after sunset in mid-June. Freezing temperatures above the volcano's ash cloud created ice-crystals either in cirrus clouds high above the volcano -- or in condensed water vapor expelled by Mount Etna. These ice crystals -- mostly flat toward the ground but fluttering -- then reflected away light from the volcano's caldera. Explore Your Universe: Random APOD Generator

I feel pretty safe in saying they won't chase Sony and Microsoft in their dash to the bottom/insanity. 2/2

010

chibipoe's library @chibipoe.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

I am relatively confident that they won't go away from physical games. They may end up doing something and embracing the key card nonsense more but generally, Nintendo is always either the one setting trends, or going off and doing their own thing that confuses everyone but somehow works out, so 1/2

Does he appear in Samurai Deeper Kyo? That was bakumatsu relevant wasn't it? Or is that one earlier. Whichever, I did highly enjoy his RK rendition(leaving aside everything about Watsuki). Need to look other depictions of him in anime up

At halfway point on the beta-read version of The Guardian, into the thick of the twist at center. Here the refinement slides over the line into polish, after feedback. Not read The Gallant? (prequel 100 years earlier) Catch up with Verrain's story. No spoilers for the main series: audio and ebook.

I liked it so much and I was like: Yeah, this is exactly what Those Bastards would do, even with the end of the series. 10/10, get fucking rekt. (keeping it vagueish as I am not sure where you are in the movie but it's PMMM so Those Bastards is probably obvious, lol) Moreover, bunnycat must die.
