I think the problem is poorly done a tournament arc can destroy pacing. But well done it can be a vehicle to tell good stories and work with the pacing. When something is done badly a lot though people often assume the thing as a whole must be bad.

I like everdell silverfrost a lot more than everdell because with the frost mechanic, I really feel like I'm having to think hard about my moves to get anything done. But the little cardboard baskets that go on the mountain as worker spaces are so bad. I may get the wooden mountain.

My god. I know to a lot of people it looks like intelligence but that's not how LLM AI works. It takes a massive amount of data and built sets of filters it possible replies to for the ones that pass. It is in no way similar to sentience. That doesn't give it an emotion or understanding. It's math

This year we got to earthborne rangers and eath. It seems like most games we played this year we really enjoyed are ones we've had for years through we played new games for instance we thought arydia was fine.

I wanted to argue but all my examples were niche mid-budget studios or weird indie games. You might not be able to even give WotR full credit since they just seemed to throw EVERYTHING in pathfinder at you and left you alone. Somehow Grimdawn is getting a new expansion soon. 9 year old game there.
