Writing about silent film is really freaking hard sometimes. Because there's often zero accessible info about the actual production process for any given film or even certain filmmakers. I guess that's why so many people write about them through a social/cultural lens (lol).

Conrad Veidt in Hollywood: The 1940s, Part II is all about the 1941 MGM film, A Woman's Face. I think this film features one of Veidt's all time best performances. Torsten Barring is textbook classic film villainy played to perfection by Connie, opposite Joan Crawford at the height of her powers.
