There is nothing grounding him, nothing that keeps the voices out. No direction but forward. No direction but Johnny.

Summary of Chapter 5:
Ghost realises he was wrong in the way he imagined the kelpie. First of all, he underestimated the size when he heard about a 'huge beast'. Ghost is a large man, tall as well as wide and muscular, yet he feels entirely dwarfed by it in this moment. Even if he was standing instead of sprawled on the floor against the cover, his head would barely reach the shoulders of this massive beast.

The more significant misconception are the eyes, though. Wrongly led by depictions of kelpies similar to the one in Johnny's room, he always imagined red or black glowing eyes. A bit cliche, but what about folklore isn't cliche?

However, staring at the giant horse in person now, Ghost is met with vibrant, icy blue eyes piercing into his with an intensity that has him shuddering involuntarily.

Ghost grumbles his thanks and reaches out to grab another fag. In the act of opening the box, Ghost's thumb strokes Soap's fingers lightly. And since Ghost made the grave mistake of forgetting to slip on his gloves when leaving his room before, skin touches raw skin.

A zap jolts through him, tingling through his nerves up his spine, shocking him right until his very core. It's strong, stronger than it should be, really, Ghost realises upon seeing literal stars in front of his eyes for a few seconds.

"Fuck!" Ghost gasps out a curse and hurls his hand away from his friend quickly.

"Shit, are you okay?" Soap looks at him with wide eyes and concern written clearly on his features.

Chapter summary: All different sizes and shapes of scars litter Ghost's legs, and they are covered by soft looking, very light hair. Bulks of muscle rest heavily all over them. Soap is most impressed by the huge and enviably defined hamstrings facing him. While Ghost shifts his weight from one leg to the other as he reaches out into his bag again, the strands of muscle bend and flow beautifully around his thighs.

But most importantly, Ghost's legs are entirely bare, up until just under his butt, which is covered by black briefs.

Very tight black briefs.

Soap doesn't know if there's actually a size available on the market which might be able to inconspicuously contain the insane mass of ass presented to him.

Summary and notes of the fic.
Summary: The shapes of the artwork bend and turn as Ghost moves his arms around while handling his bag and pulling out equipment for the workout. Veins are creeping across his skin like a plant curling along a tree trunk to reach the sun. Thick strands of muscles bunch and strain on his forearms.

Until now, Soap has never seen Ghost's arms. The man has always been covered in at least a hoodie, and except for the occasional, accidental sliver of skin just above the gloves revealing the existence of ink on Ghost's skin, this whole picture is entirely exe unprecedented to Soap.

Soap feels like a man in the Victorian era seeing a woman's ankle for the first time. He has to forcefully swallow down the saliva gathering up obtrusively in his mouth.

Soap has a crush on his superior and Ghost decides to give his friend a lesson at the gym.

Ghost likes being large and intimidating. Doesn’t have to fight for his personal space as much. And he needs his space. It’s too exhausting to feel the vicinity of other people, they’re always impaling themselves into his nervous system like rusty nails. Every movement too close to him shoots a reflex up his synapses, but there is no target response muscle built for this certain reflex. He imagines the signals passed into his brain stem just accumulating without an outlet, overheating himself like a barrel of a machine gun. So Ghost has to be careful to avoid too many rounds firing up his spinal cord. He tries not to think too much about the fact his body feels like a weapon to him.
