Chevindu @chevindu.com · 30/08/2026@bookhive.buzz hi, more questions from me 😬 I use Readest for my ebooks, and I tried the KOSync integration with BookHive. Looks like it cannot detect the title I’m reading. Happened with 2 books. Is it due to some issue in how Readest communicates metadata over the wire? 120

Chevindu @chevindu.com · 21/08/2026Cool! I tried the pwa for a bit but my browser doesn't seem to respect the theme color of the site. White bands on top and bottom look a bit weird. Probably a Firefox thing. 100
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 24/06/2026@slack.engineering hi, can this be improved? This white area is wasted. 000
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 10/01/2026Ah, it works! I think my laptop screen hits a resolution that doesn't crop off the sub-page, so Leaflet decides not to scroll? I can use my touchpad to drag it to center. It works as expected if I narrow the view port. 110
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 15/11/2025Thank you for the write up! I faced 2 styling/content issues on the page. Do you think it's my browser/network? (I think the first red box is supposed to be a sub heading, and the second box is missing some content below. Please ignore if this is intended) 200
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 04/10/2025So we have this annual book fair thing in my country and I forgot to hide the credit card from my wife before it started. #CIBF2025 130
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 31/01/2025A linear-gradient would to the trick I guess background: linear-gradient(0deg, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.9) 0%, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) 50%); 220
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 28/11/2024But for photography, it's a different story 🥲 unless you have a chunky telescope or fancy instruments. My go-to is some hotel by the southern coast, or Arugam Bay. This is something I captured near the Western coast, just from my phone. It was a very clear sky with no clouds whatsoever. 110
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 28/11/2024These are the only two notifications I got :D also, welcome @shamila-adithya.bsky.social! 210
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 25/11/2024It's showing a bunch of "Picked for you" content inside the activity area. Looks like Meta has decided to engage-bait me inside my own activity tab, due to my lack of activity :D 100
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 25/11/2024Talking about Next, just encountered this on NSB web portal, lol 120
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 22/11/2024Just noted Google uses the same font in the search results page if you query for a common web font 😮 000
Chevindu @chevindu.com · 22/11/2024Apologies for ruining the magic count, but cannot not star this. Hope you get to spend more time on it, so we get to play with it on Linux. 110
