It's been over nine years since my last Battletech Classic game and oh boy was this a blast! Ended the game with an opponent taking a hard critical hit with a PPC to their Centurion's head, and taking the pilot out of the fight! #miniatures #wargaming #battletech #mechwarrior #mechs #classic

Do you all like Necromunda? Probably the best game GW has ever made next to Mordheim. Here's my Cawdor gang "The Bookburners", inspired *very* loosely by the novel 'Fahrenheit 451'. #Warhammer #necromunda #cawdor #gamesworkshop #paintingwarhammer #wargames #paint #photos #warhammer #games

Thanks! Definitely the vibe I was going for...I've never done a battle damaged army before, so for this I really wanted to experiment and lean into it. Really inspired by the novel "Shattered Legions" and Space Marine 2 for the grit.

Thankfully not at all. We don't actually get that much rain, and the water only ever gets up to about your knee height at most, even during the wettest times of year--but I'd never explore a tunnel like this if there was rain or wet in the forecast anyway.

The echo through the drain tunnels are sometimes hollow sounding, but carry far. The winding turns and strange geography of the tunnel can seem to amplify whispers and big movements. It's eerie but also no different than a natural cavern.

Yes there are! 'Horus Rising' is the first of the eleven "core books" of the Horus Heresy. Followed by 'False Gods', then 'Galaxy in Flames'. Great introduction and great writing.

It's an odd universe like that. Most of these characters aren't good people, but they do have some redeeming features and qualities. My favourite Horus heresy novels are still the first three books, covering the fall of the Luna Wolves becoming the Sons of Horus. Love the characters.

As a Warhammer nerd, can confirm 100%. The lore is obtuse, but that is the gist of 30k vs 40k for sure! Horus was a bad dude surrounded by other equally bad dudes, but he turned traitor, so he actually 'the worst'... And totes dead in the current setting.
